... in with usb end - they could fix that easily - but I was just so frustrated as reviews ...
I had high hoped for this - unfortunately even after ordering the phantom power supply as advised by apple - just was not recognised by the Mac - probably could be fixed by line in with usb end - they could fix that easily - but I was just so frustrated as reviews are fab... and then Mac only ever recognised it as headphones (BAD MAC!!) - so either needed a 'splitter' for the universal sound port on Mac or as I say a usb.Is it the microphones fault - perhaps not - but I then went to my pc and connected it there with the phantom power supply and although is worked on first recording it then reverted to being very silent again with lots of background noise.... again to be fair it may be my pc which is quite old but in the end returned this and bought a Blue IceSnowball which was just plugged in and worked straight off.... still noise adjustment necessary....I guess if you want to have a true prof. set up you've gotta pay the money - the Snowball was another 'cheap' option that worked with my Mac.Still put 3-stars as I realise that some software problems came from my computers - the mic seems well built and the gear that comes with it also - but the cable - feels like cheap crap - if they could change that to a usb it may solve a lot of problems....

Great podcast mic for the price
Bearing in mind I use Adobe Audition to do compression, noise reduction and such after recording, I've been really impressed with this mic. Especially considering the price. Used with a Focusrite audio interface directly into Adobe audition. The only downside being that the cable it comes with is seemingly useless, at least for how we record. So we had the extra expense of an extra cable.Check out the audio for yourself at TasteMyGameFace.com (shameless plug)

Great!
This is cheap because it's made cheap, therefore it's simply a low quality BM-800. My bro said it's the best mic and he has tons of equipment and friends who are into recording equip. I got this for £20 and a mini stand for ~£5. For chatting over the net this is way better than buying overpriced junk. People suggest the yeti or snowball a lot, especially for streaming, but this cheap mic is just as good. My mobo supports condensers without phantoms, so I can just plug it into my PC (good thing I forgot to buy a phantom and my bro pointed it out). The mic holder itself is fantastic and people can't hear the echo or background in my spacey room when I talk online. One interesting thing... This came unbranded, it comes in a box that says "Studio Microphone". I'm so glad I just went for a cheap option.

Fantastic Bargain.
I purchased this along with the InnoGear Single Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply with Adapter and Audio XLR Cable (3 Meters / 10 Feet) for any Condenser Microphone Music Voice Recording Equipment - The setup is pretty easy and it was immediately recognised by Windows 10. The microphone itself has some weight to it which is a good thing. The included shock mount works well.As far is sound goes it works great with the Phantom Power. I use it mainly for social interaction and my friends immediately noticed a difference. It's clear, loud with no hiss/static or anything of the sort. Overall I'm very pleased with it and highly recommended.

its great but compatibility is not great....
I like it, good quality but windows 10 doesn't show as picking up audio, even if it is.the main problem is when discord won't work, even if i set it to it, this may happen to other applications but audacity works.

Its not a good microphone. Had snowball before but stopped working and bought this one to have cheaper sound and it was correct. No comparison. it ended up as a karaoke device for my 7 year old which is happy with it.

Sound advice!
Now that I've had adequate time to use this tool I can be objective with a review. And it's great. Works beautifully, with good clarity, well built and looks the part. I've even been inclined not to put the pop screen on to be able to show it off! It's been used principally for recording sound bites and voice over but also used for a couple of public events. The quality of the output is excellent.
