People are reviewing this product as noisy which is just hilarious. You are grinding metal across metal!!!!!!!!!! It will be noisy, it means that it is doing it's job!!!!!!!!! And it really does do it's job. I found my 25 year old chef's knife which wouldn't even cut through butter but after 2 minutes on this machine it is literally razor sharp...so much so that I offer caution that you don't get caught out by just how sharp your knives will become. It is a first class product especially for the price.

This works very well. As mentioned in a couple of other reviews, it is very noisy. But as long as it does the job, then so what if a few pigeons get disturbed? I have kept it in its box, as I don't have much counter top space for it to sit out all the time. It is not small enough to tuck into a corner for handy use. But it is worth getting if you like to work with sharp knives.

Genuinely impressed for the price. Very simple and straight forward to use, the instruction manual was clear. Knives are very sharp very quickly.Only reason for 4 not 5 stars is because the gate for the knives is a little too long on the out so for some of my pairing knives there is a 1cm gap before it actually sharpens.. and if i was to nit pick, even though it feels solid the plastic feels a little cheap. But again for the price, one very satisfied customer

Not bad and easy to use but i can not get the knifes sharp as i want .

bought this for a friend, as her knives were really blunt. after just a couple of minutes, her knives were nice and sharp again. she was tring to chop through a raw chicken, but with the sharpened knife, she went through in one go. a little noisy, but you only use it now and then. small so pops into a cupboard easily. good purchase.

After working with this knifes are more dull than before.

I have bought this as a Xmas present but I have one and it is easy to use and sharpens the knives brilliant

I'd hoped this would sharpen my old knives - but it doesn't. It will hone knives that are already in pretty good nick, but it is not up to real sharpening.Also there are no clear instructions about how to position the knife in the slots when sharpening.It sort of works, but not well or comprehensively.
