Great wee clamp for the price
I bought 2 of these in conjunction with Wolfcraft 4042000 Ceiling Props for attaching my HTC Vive light boxes to. These clamps have the standard camera mount with tilt adjustment. The camera mount disc is rubber padded as are the insides of the clamps. You tighten the clamp using the threaded tension rod to bring the retaining lever toward the clamp and then snap the lever over to keep the clamp secured. The camera mount can be tilted in all directions by (1) using the thumb screw, (2) pulling the mount section and twisting it round and (3) positioning the camera itself. It does the job well. If you need to clamp this to anything less than 15mm diameter though you'll need something to pad it out first. (The clamp appears to widen to 40mm). The only place I could find on my motorbike to attach it to was at the back for a rear view (should I ever feel inclined to do so), however there was nothing at the front suitable, but then I have a mount on my helmet and I didn't get this clamp for that purpose anyway. In terms of build quality, it seems robust enough. Only the lever feels like it could snap if it's particularly tight but loosening the tension rod slightly sorts that out.

Used for HTC Vive base Stations
Good product! It does the job. It doesn't clamp fully to my shelf, but I have semi-thin shelves so I wouldn't put it down to the product. A downside is that the black screw thing to secure the Base Station in place becomes loose very easily with a slight nudge so bear that in mind, other than that it's a great makeshift product for university living.

Good price and exactly what I needed
Good price and easy to use, works great with my portable camera watched to handlebars of my bike.

Cheap and nasty. Not fit for purpose.
The build quality is very poor – thin metal, rough edges, and the clamp doesn’t tighten securely. The 1/4" thread feels weak and wobbly, and I wouldn’t trust this to hold a cigarette or anything safely. It looks better in the photos than it is in reality. Feels like a false economy and not suitable for anything that needs stability or reliability. Don’t waste your money. - mines in the bin - packaging was ok

My favourite quick mounting fixture.
Easy to use. Takes up very little space. So useful for timer/selfies and timelapse videos. Find something solid, clamp this mount to it, add your camera and you are set up.

Good for "set and forget" applications
Has been holding my VR lighthouses up for years now. Works well for that, I wouldn't trust it with a dynamic load though (like a bike handlebar mount), the spring-held rotation mechanism is a bit too loose for that. I also wouldn't use it for anything that I would interact with often (anything with buttons, touchscreen, etc) as, again, it's all a bit lose and would move all over the place.

... reddit post that suggested using ceiling props and mounts like this which did make a lot of sense since ...
I bought myself an HTC Vive and had been looking around for ways to mount the lighthouses that would let me adjust where they were put for the whole roomscale aspect of VR games that werent going to make me drill lots of holes in a wall (or furniture) I think it was a reddit post that suggested using ceiling props and mounts like this which did make a lot of sense since tripods were looking to be more expensive than a pair of these and a couple of props. My local B&Q had props on a special at £10 each so that kind of settled that. One prop is in a corner of the room with some lighting on it as well as some shelves for game related "dustcatchers" I've accumulated over the years. The other prop goes in front of a wardrobe so being able to move it works well and the clamp is ideal for taking the lighthouse off and on. The clamp itself feels nice and solid and for the job I want it to do it's ideal not had any instances of it coming loose or sliding down and adjustments are easy enough to do. I can see this also working pretty well for someone using a go pro type camera on handlebars but obviously its better to ask someone who has done so for their opinion.

Very Strong, but ...
My only gripe is the locking plate is made of cheap plastic. It split after a couple of hours use. I replaced with a metal one I took off an old clamp which made this almost perfect - Shame they couldn't make the locking wheel out of metal, otherwise all good I must add, if I was using this indoors, with little resistance it would be fine as it is. I use it on my motorcycle so I need a very strong, tight grip. I probably tighten it too much. My point is, you shouldn't be able to tighten it too much!

Cheap, useless, does not work properly
Very cheap piece of rubbish. Does not work as intended. Very poor quality.

Quality is not what I expected
The joint between the claw and the mounting screw gives in, if anything heavier is attached to it. In my case had to hold an ipad with extension arm, it didn't work at all. When I attached the arm to the mounting screw and extended it, the joint started to wobble. No good. Not worth the money.
