Hartleys White and Grey 2 Drawer Dressing/Console Table

Having read other reviews, I do agree that this is not a 'sturdy' table so I would not purchase if you need something that will hold a lot of weight. I am using mine essentially as a bedside table in the guest room. It matches the white, grey and lavendar colour theme I have in the room perfectly. I have placed a fairly large lamp on it and a picture frame and it holds these perfectly. I am expecting that guests will put in/on it some overnight essentials such as book, underwear, make-up, perfume and for these I do not anticipate that the weight will be a problem. I have it against a wall but I have not needed to attach it to the wall as one reviewer has.The instructions were easy to follow and the unit was esay to essemble. The drawers glide in and out smoothly, although you can hear the noise of wood against wood as the drawers are not on runners, but again, this would be the case with any wooden drawer without runners. I personally felt that for the money, this was a good purchase for my needs. Yes, you can get sturdier products, but having just moved and decorated a new house, I know you can pay a fortune for items. If you need something that's easy to move, will not havee to hold a lot of weight, or more of a decorative item than a robust every day usage item - this is it.

I wanted a little table for my hallway but all the ones I'd seen were too big. This is the perfect size and looks so nice in the entrance!It's not overly sturdy but I could confidently put a lamp or candles on it.It took my boyfriend about an hour to assemble but he is a DIY newbie.The drawers are deep, however they are not on runners so they don't open smoothly but this isn't an issue for meOverall a really lovely table for the price

I was a little shocked when opened this product. The quality of it was quite poor. It clearly has been hand painted and there were drips on the legs and bits poorly painted. However, once put together it looks nice and serves its purpose. The quality of wood on the legs and drawers is poor (a few chipped bits or where splintered) but the table top is good. Drawers have no runners so do not glide easily. I could easily disguise the imperfections (of which there are a few) and just hope it’s not closely inspected. I am passing the item off as shabby country chic. It looks good in the corner of my bedroom. Not very heavy at all and easily knocked over but suits its purpose for me - purely decorative. My husband however, wanted me to return it. If only more attention had been given to painting it.

Ideal and stable enough for use as a hallway console table - we use it for a phone light and letter storage. It is lightweight, so do not expect to load out drawers with anything heavy. Ok for the price and positive comments for appearance from visitors

I was a bit shocked when I unpacked the pieces as they were of a very poor standard. However once completed it looked a bit better. Some of the screws did not align and there were no plastic caps to cover the screws so I have had to order some online. It looks lovely in the hallway but I reckon if I banged into it the whole thing would collapse. Would not purchase again to be honest.

Bought this after reading previous reviews, and I agree it's very simple to put together, the drawers are already made up and everything is provided. Didn't take long at all. Again, I agree it's not massively sturdy, but I'm sure nobody will be sitting on it. Looks very nice in my newly painted hallway with a small lamp and a mirror on the wall behind. Really pleased with it.

Easy to assemble if all of the holes line up, but mine was so poorly made that most of them didn’t align, and so a couple of the screws got stuck on the threads. The whole thing then had to be disassembled again to remove them, and two of the six holding the top in place had to be left out completely. I had three different types of screws supplied when there only should have been two, and the plastic caps to cover the screws to tidy it up at the end were missing. Really not very happy with it.
