Recommended app only works in portrait mode. Not fit for purpose
Follow all the instructions to download the app and then you find that you have to rotate the whole microphone 90 degrees because the StarMaker app only works in portrait mode and the structure won’t allow you to rotate your phone. Doh!!! This howler of a snag was acknowledged over a year ago and hasn’t been fixed. Another feature in the instructions which I found hilarious, is for multiple singers you are told to simply unplug the microphone from your phone. Which means it becomes a dumb phone holder because the phone is now doing everything.

Bought as a gift and the reciever was very happy. App was quite good and like the faculty to turn off posting to the forum, would like a parental password though to prevent it accidentally happening. Worked well

AVOID not safe for kids
In order to use you have to download an app. This app gives you ‘followers’ and although you can turn that off, it gives you 20 people that you ‘follow’ meaning children can see videos of complete strangers who may be doing inappropriate stuff. There’s no option to make the account completely safe and secure.AVOID for children as it’s not safe. What a waste of money as it’s unusable without the app.

Waste of Money
This was a total disappointment. It was a Christmas gift for our 8 year old daughter. The 'stick' is cheaply made, the 'microphone' is just a prop, the app keeps trying to force you onto social media (which I am not keen about). It is incompatable with the iphone 4 (though one of the product questions said that it was - it needs IOS 9.0 or higher - her iphone 4 won't support any IOS above 7). I suggest you buy a selfie stick for £2 and download musical.ly.

Cheap tat! Need to pay for songs in app...
Rubbish. Couldn't get it to work with the app and wouldn't hold the phone securely....don't waste your money!

My little sister loved this, pretending to be a pop star/utuber etcMyself, I thought it looked and felt a little cheap, but it wasn't for me it was for a child...I wouldn't say it was made to last,but then again, what is now...I will say again, my sister loved it and that's all that matters, and that is why it has 4*

Disappointed in this but others may differ
Very fragile, cheap material. Cord is fragile and not long and has potential to break or tear as do headphones. It's a shame that the lyrics don't rotate with screen so have to hold mic sideways or that may just be my phone. Disappointed in this but others may differ.

It was ok not as robust as over selfie sticks and microphone has low power so not one of my best purchases.
