What the...
I have my own little studio setup and needed a microphone but didn't want to spend big money.I bought this and immediately thought "It's going to be utter trash".I thought that before I even clicked on the 'Order' button. I thought that when I opened it today, plugged it into my audio interface and tested it.My logic was that I should probably learn a valuable lesson about buying cheap. So folks, imagine my surprise that when it was all unboxed, assembled (very easy) and ready to go - that it sounded absolutely great.I had been temporarily using a USB microphone that was just horrendous, yet this Tonor 800 picks up every nuance of vocals and provides a rich and crisp recording. And once you factor in the stand, the shock mount, the shield and the pop screen...I just don't know how they are able to deliver such a product. Even the box and packaging was presented well.It is early days, I've have yet to place it in front of an amp or acoustic guitar to record through it, but with vocals, it works really well. Obviously when placed side by side with something in the upper bracket of professional quality it wouldn't be well regarded, but in a budget to medium range of mics, this thing is a winner. It sound, build and extra should make this a £80/100 microphone. Remarkable really.Note: You will need to be able to provide the microphone with Phantom Power otherwise you will get noting out of it.I use a Focusrite Solo 2nd Gen as my audio interface and use PC DAW for recording.

Microphone setups for cheap are generally not very good...
So imagine my suprise when I originally bought this and set it up. I recieved near on the same quality as my old shure mic. Obviously it's gonna take a mixing desk and a bit of playing around with, but this mic has plenty of range.I cannot recommend this product highly enough... so much so, that I now actually own 2 of them.

Very high quality, eaisley put together only problrm was that thè usb adapter caused a small buzzing noise in my head set sometimes. Apart from that well worth the money.

all 5 star reviews so far are misleading
UN-BIASED REVIEW!Please be aware that 99% of the time you will need the Phantom Power Supply or you will get very low/ poor recording from the mic, I have a desktop gaming rig and the mic is virtually useless till my phantom power supply arrives as it will not pull enough power from the usb or my own sound card. You will not get the required five volts through the USB sound card supplied as usb's only supply 2v, boosting the mic through windows to work on low power will give you very poor performance with low recording volume and bad quality. The seller does advise for this but gives the hint that it might work on desktops or if you plug your laptop in, but it wont. What disgusts me more is all the biased 5 star reviews with no mention of issues and the need for a PSU, these people that are getting free or reduced items for these reviews should be ashamed, the reviews and five stars they gave are misleading as the this mic to be any good requires another investment of £25 for a phantom psu and mic cable and no mention of this is made which makes me wonder if any really tested them. The mic is sturdy and pretty solid and with the extra's for £23 it is a bargain and would get five stars from me if it did not need another £25 investment to have it work to its full potential, at the end of the day it will be a £58 mic and i think the seller has made a mistake of giving the impression it might work without this when it wont.*I will update the review once I have a phantom psu and have tested the mic*

Worth the buy for your first Studio, or a cheap replacement!
So, I was kind of reticent about buying a Mic kit, as you often find they are shoddy, or the audio quality absolutely sucks. However, this came in lovely packaging, securely wrapped and in packing foam. It was simple to set up, and my Audio quality is far better than it has ever been. I barely have to add any audio processing to it, except a quick bit of compression and noise reduction. My Plosives and my Sibilants are rich and clear, and it picks up my entire singing range. All in all, good job, worth the buy!

Total rip off. Very poor quality. Don't buy this!
Got this for my son for Christmas and it is absolute crap. I got a phantom power supply to power it and plugged it in to his PC in the Line in socket and you could only just about make out your voice with all the settings fully up so tried it in the mic socket with all the settings fully up and the boost gain fully up and it was just about useable. However there was a bit of a humm from the wiring near by so moved the cable away from the other wires, so cable the shielding is poor. The people who say they are getting amazing radio quality audio from this mic are full of sh** the audio is awful! Low volume and totally flat. I tried using the mic with a professional mixing deck and it did not work at all! I decided to take a quick look inside as i thought that maybe a wire had come off and that's why it didn't work but I had a big surprise when I opened it. Inside there are 2 small circuit boards one is only being used as a metal shield as there no components on it at all and the other has a few transistors and other components on it probably an preamp that does not work. The microphone itself is a pathetic little mono electret mic, the type you get in budget microphones from the pound shop. This is not a professional microphone! It's a cheap Chinese copy that looks the part with its metal body, shiny bling and lulls you in to buying it with fake 5 star reviews and techy sounding descriptions. Don't be fooled like I was and save your money. I will say the mic stand is not bad, not the best, but what you would expect from a striped down angle poise lamp.
