Great for domestic drilling and screw driving jobs.
I really like this drill/driver which replaced my 12 yr old one. It's fairly light compared to the older ones. The torch is handy but nothing to write home about, but the best thing is the quick charge. It only needs about 1.5 hrs and it's fully charged and ready to go. Very good for domestic use and probably more, so I would recommend it. Good value for money and comes with the basic screwdriver bits and a small socket adapter which is also very handy for allen keys bolts or torx.I've used this drill/driver for household chores, stripping parts of my motorbike and some picture holes. There is also good variation in the 0-15 different settings for the screwdriver to make sure you don't over tighten screws in softer materiel. I like it and I'm fussy with tools and stuff.

Cheap, does the job for light DIY. Probably need a dedicated drill for masonry or heavy drilling
Let me preface this by saying this was the first drill I ever bought. I've used it for assembling a whole flats worth of flat pack furniture. I wish I'd known what the torque settings were for before stripping a bunch of screws/bits. I generally only charge this once and it just sits in a drawer for weeks or months on end and when I need to get it out and its still good to go for screwdriving or very light drilling into plasterboard or wood.I would also suggest getting a separate magnetic bit holder as the one in the box won't hold screws very well to the bit. There is also a magnetic section just above the battery that will hold a few screws to free up your hands/pockets. I bought a separate drill/bit set in addition to the ones provided so I can't fully comment on their use/longevity as I rarely use them however I saw no glaring problems.I found to my dismay that I needed a dedicated SDS drill to get through a concrete baton with a steel plate but that's to be expected. With everything said, I've been very pleased with it for the price, however as already stated you may be frustrated if you intend to use it for anything more than driving screws, plasterboard/very light wood drilling.

GOOD VALUE
This is the first cordless drill that I have owned. Prior to this, I had a low voltage drill/screwdriver which finally expired and so I thought I'd upgrade. The Terratek did come as a surprise. I have used it several times, both for screw driving and drilling and it does both well. The variable speed being particularly useful when starting screws, picking up pilot holes etc.It particularly impressed me when, just as a trial and mainly because I couldn't be bothered to get my mains hammer drill,I tried drilling into brick. It drilled into housebrick easily bearing in mind it has no hammer action.Admittedly I was using a brand new masonry drill.I repeated the test on engineering brick with no success but that was really only to be expected. The bubble level and LED light are useful additions. The only minus point is the charger. It has no auto off and so you have to keep an eye on the length of time you have it on charge. If you want a Cordless Drill for light usage I would recommend the Terratek.Up to now I have had no problems with it and for the price it is good value.

Great drill, not so great drill bits
Really great drill, it has a good amount of power too it, it's not too heavy, it's got a spirit level on the top and it has a handy little light on it so you can see what your doing. The speed control on this works really well, lightly pressing the trigger makes it go nice and slowly, and equally pressing the trigger down makes it go fast. It's nice and easy to change the drill bits over and it's easy to remove battery and charge it.The downside to this set is the drill bits that come with it, if your looking for a starter drill that comes with bits to get you started then the bits that come with this won't be worth it, I tried drilling a whole into chipboard with one of the bits and it literally bent in half! Not very good at all, the screw driver head bits all work fine it's just a shame the drill bits for making holes just aren't strong enough for the job. I spoke to the seller in regards to this and they were very friendly, responded quickly and offered to send replacement parts for me, so a great seller.I would still recomend this product for the drill itself as it really is a nice drill, just don't rely on the drill bits that come with it.

OK for occasional use. Supplied accessories 'basic'
I wanted a drill that would not require plugging into the mains and having loads of cable trailing behind. This item seemed to suit my requirements at a price I could afford bearing in mind it would only have occasional use.The first of those occasions occurred only recently and so the drill was duly unwrapped and the battery charged up. I wanted to drill a hole into some brickwork but the bits supplied did not include a masonry one. Not to be deterred, I had some bits from my old powered drill and thus was able to use one of these.During the charging of the battery, I set to and read through the user manual, as it tells you very sternly in order to avoid issues and accidents. Having read it from cover to cover, I discovered that nowhere wa there any mention of drilling into masonry. Wood, yes, steel yes but masonry no. This to me seemed more than a little odd, especially as the next one up was only £10 extra and apart from having addtional torques settings and a lithium fast charge battery, doesn't appear to be that much different - and yet - the description includes suitable for drilling into wood, steel and 'other materials'!Anyway, as a now very occasional user, I did not feel the need to buy something like a Bosch Hammer Drill at twice the price and therefore persevered with this one and set about drilling into masonry. I needn't have worried however, the drill coped adequately with the job and the hole got drilled. As to the 'accessories' - these have been described in other reviews as 'worthless' but I would not go as far as to say that. Probably best however not to rely in the supplied kit but avail yourself of a decent separate drill bit kit.If I were buying again and needed something versatile and being used every day? I would pay for the best one I could afford.
