For anyone who is venturing to the far east Philippines China or even India. This is the mask for you. I use this in The Philippines and you smell/taste nothing. Nothing!!!All these other fashion conscious masks(you know who you are) do not work. For dust maybe and keeping your face warm on a cold day and that's it.For actual pollution DIESEL ..SMOKE .. Cars bikes trucks!! This mask actually does the biz!!You may look a little bit different but your lungs will thank you for it. I Swear by this and all 4000 series masks.I don't work for 3M . I am just fed up seeing these unfortunate guys and gals spending their well earned cash on the fancy masks that do not work and they are not cheap either..Thanks and be safe...

I have this mask and it blocks very well the paint odors, but after a few day, I have mine for a week, it starts to release a weird smell even when I put the mask on in clean environments. It still block the odors very well or other smells, but the mask always have this smell that comes from the filters, I can't tell what smell is that, seems like some type of solvent. I don't think the filters are saturated since it block the paint odors. Can someone help me with this?

After using various grades of face mask I decided to go for the most comprehensive type and they really are excellent. Whether applying pungent wood preservative, using solvent cleaners or cleaning showers with acidic cleaners I cannot smell a thing!They do cost a lot, but they're worth if for the protection they give. They will also last a reasonable time although I do avoid using them in purely dusty situations where a regular FFP3 is fine to avoid clogging them prematurely.

Bought this for my hubby to use when car spraying. He said it does the job (a man of few words) so I pushed for a bit more and he said he could breathe ok when using it and it was a good fit. He was happy with it.
