Great and Easy-to-Use Acupuncture Pen - A Must-Have for any Home (and those suffering with pain of any description) !!!
Have had this for a few weeks now, and it is great for all of the family. One of the concerns with acupuncture is knowing where the points are to apply the needle, or in this case the pen point. The sound is a brilliant way to alert you as to where the points are. You also receive an earpiece, so you can switch off background noises, to really focus on locating the dead centre of the acupuncture point. You can feel the pulse travelling in your body when you are spot on.I was concerned about buying this, as some others have said it is cheap looking and poor quality. Well, it's a pen...how much can you expect, and given the technology inside this one and price, it's a steal at the price. The pen looks fine and is not feeble, just light-weight. Given you need to hold the pen in place and press to apply the acupuncture, the casing is perfect. If this were more solid or heavy, then you would potentially slip from the point whilst trying to keep in place. The all-important question.....does it work? Well, I get headaches, joint pain and sometimes tummy aches. I was a bit sceptical but thought 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'. My headaches were terrible, and within I would say minutes of applying the new pen, I started to feel different. The headache started to lift thereafter, where I had been experiencing it for hours. Great alternative to tablets, which we all tend to rush for these days. I also read that acupuncture repairs the body, which to be honest....I have been feeling better, and cannot recall any notable headaches since.Joint pain, the same again.....this simple pen does do something. The guide inside is not really comprehensive enough as to where the various points are for problems in the body, but I purchased another book alongside. This identifies which points controls say headache, for you to apply the pen there etc. This is a definite improvement the manufacturer should make, and enclose an infographic say, very simple.....like saying for headache....these points should be addressed giving the name and a clear image of where they are in the hand and the feet. Even better, guides as to how long treatment should continue for too and what type of headache each point works for. The current images are too basic, and should say the point in the foot is more appropriate for headaches at back of neck etc..ANYWAYS, I gave this a 5 out of 5 and would definitely recommend this item. The price is great for a tool which is far easier than applying needles, but moreover in my opinion actually works!!!

Finicky and Not Robust
Nice glossy manual but the controls and symbols are tiny and fiddly.I bought this to replace an older different acupuncture pen which was starting to look the worse for wear. However the old one still functions and is much easier to use (also demonstrably more efficient), so in over two years the new one hasn't been put to much use. Nevertheless it has now given up the ghost. while my old one soldiers on. So this has been a pretty bad buy for me.

Three Stars
Used one many years ago of a different make and this matches performance if not quality.

Replacement for 'Pain-Away' pen
I got this with a bit of uncertainty. I have used a 'Pain-Away' pen for the last 3 years, but its pressing mechanism is now starting to 'slip'. The offer price for this was much the same price as a new Pain-Away, but this has the advantage that it doesn't need manual pressing - it is battery driven. I've now used it for 2 weeks, not for acupuncture, but rather putting the tip on the point of pain and holding it ther for about 25-30secs. (It has a 30 sec setting which I use but normally stop before it times out). It is much more convenient to use, and I can use it in places (e.g small of back) where I couldn't work the Pain-Away. So far it has been successful in easing the pain. My reservations are about the quality of the product. It looks cheap and I wonder how long the on-off button, in particular, will last. Also I don't know how long to expect the batteries to last. However, it is working well and overall I'm pleased with it.

Works like magic. Manages to fairly accurately find the acupuncture ...
Works like magic. Manages to fairly accurately find the acupuncture points by by identifying the lowest resistance in the body. I know my points from my acupuncture sessions. It provides a very pleasant feeling when the stimulation is not too strong. It does relieve pain very quickly. Not sure what the complaints are about it being flimsy... It's robust enough for its purpose without being q professional device. Good value for the price. For comprehensive acupuncture locations/treatments I suggest to google them.

Weirdest thing i've ever bought :)
Well, it works in a way that it hurts when you touch your skin with it . It also beeps when you touch the proper point where to electrocute yourself. However i don't like the feeling it does and i never got rid of any pain - head/neck using this device, but instead only got nervous as it doesn't feel nice. Also the plastic looks cheap as well as button switches and earphone. So i tried it several times, and understood that this is not something that could help me :)

Impressed!
It took me two weeks before I eventually started using this. I read to many reviews and was dubious of using it incase I experienced electric shocks from it. Basically don’t know what all the fuss is about. You certainly do not need to spend extra money on a book telling you how to use it! Complete waste! If you read the instructions correctly that’s all you need. Pen can be high/low depending on your pain threshold, which you control! The pen tells you where to place it on your body with sound it omits, so easy to use. I haven’t ventured past level 2 and have been using it for 5 weeks now. It really does work and relieves my sciatica and arthritis pain. It’s not a cure just pain relief and works for me. Recommended

A self help alternative to acupuncture.
I used to practice acupuncture in the NHS, but am now retired.I injured my shoulder at the gym, but was unable to treat myself with the needles as I could not reach the points. I bought this pen, and I have to say it works very well. Within a week I had very little pain. That said, I am one of those people who react very well to acupunture. Some don't, so if it doesn't help, it might be that you are someone who it doesn't help, not the fault of the pen.
