Astonishing value for money, solid and high quality.
Though I will occasionally use this for photography, I bough it in order to use my laser-level. I am at a loss as to how Amazon can offer a fully-featured tripod of this quality for this price. The tripod comes with its own zipped carrier bag which also has an adjustable carrying strap. But one removed from this carrier and in it’s closed condition it has a built-in carrying handle (something I’ve not seen on previous tripods I owned). Despite Amazon saying it’s lightweight - it is reassuringly weighty, though not overwhelmingly so, and I normally associate weight/solidity with quality in any case. It is a triple-extend tripod (2 position legs and an extendable neck) and with both extension legs in their fully extended positions it is rock solid. The clamps for that are used to release and lock the legs are also solid and there’s no slip when closed or open. The gimbaled rubber feet are also a boon on uneven or slippery surfaces like wooden floors. The head has all the tings you’d expect, rotation, left/right and tilt controls as well as the winder to raise the extended neck, all of which feel solid and sure. There are two spirit levels on this. One circular one above the legs with which you can level the tripod an any surface by adjusting the legs, and another on the head itself so that one can level that (in my case to get it close enough for my laser lever automatic leveling can kick in.) On mine, though, this is a little touchy to say the least. The bubble does not move smoothly, it will go from the edge to the other edge with the tiniest of adjustments and I had to give tiny, gentle taps to make it get to where I wanted it to me, unlike the button circular one in which the bubble moves as expected. But like I said, levels in photography to me are not an issue and as long as that bubble can get close, the laser lever will do the rest. After that it’s just lock it and use the tilt to put the line where I want it to go. I am very happy with the quality of this tripod for the price and have no problems recommending it to anyone looking to buy a completely adequate tripod for whatever reason.

Give This Little Gem a Try - You Won't be Disapointed
I got this tripod as part of a offer bundle with an entry level SLR in 2012 and it has turned out to be one of my most reliable bits of kit. My main photographic interest is long exposure night photography (typically 1 min to 10 mins) so a steady base is essential. I am pleased to report that this basic tripod has proved more than up to the task. When I was kitting myself out I thought I would have to purchase something much more substantial (and expensive) but the tripod came with the camera anyway so I didn't have anything to loose. After I had tried it however I was so impressed that I decided to prioritise my spend on a good wide angle lens and leave the tripod until I could afford it. Two and a half years (and several other lenses) later I'm still using this tripod and it still gives me everything I need. So, what makes this tripod good? 1. Provides a rock steady platform for my DSLR fitted with a hefty wide angle lens. 2. Locking mechanisms on the leg extensions are robust and easy to adjust 3. Camera mounting plate mechanism is easy to operate and locks securely (I leave the plate permanently fastened to my camera) 4. Rubber feet are on self adjusting ball type joints and take up the angle of the ground. 5. The struts between the legs and the centre column add stiffness to the structure and can even be locked in position if conditions are really rough. 6. The hook on the bottom of the centre column can be used to hang a plastic bag with a couple of weighty stones in to provide even more stability if the wind is too strong. 7. There is a bubble/ circle level positioned in the top moulding of the tripod which can be used to accurately set the tripod level. 8. The Camera mounting plate assembly can be swung vertical to enable a switch from landscape compositions to portrait to be made quickly and easily. 9. The tripod comes with a simple zip up carry case which makes packing it in a rucksack easy as all the protruding parts which would snag are kept inside the case. 10. The tripod is light and I have used it quite happily on multi day wild camping trips up in the mountains of the Lake District & Scotland. One tip I would give to those wishing to set the tripod up on thick springy grass (which I do frequently) is to use your boot to kick away the grass where the legs meet the ground so that each foot is sat on a solid base. This helps really helps with the stability of this (or any other tripod) for that matter. Summing up, for the money this is a fantastic buy. I have given mine some real stick over a period of over two years and I would recommend it to anybody. Give it a try before spending a large wedge of cash on a more expensive model.

Good tripod, cheap but very light and versatile.
The easel, as we know, is a quite indispensable accessory for anyone who wants to approach the world of photography, a world that is really full of accessories of all types and, above all, prices. The most famous accessories are, of course, the most expensive and then those who do not know the saying "Who spends more, the less you spend"? Fortunately, sometimes we can find some exceptions, and this is the case, thanks to the stand for photography of Amazon Basics. A super-economical, lightweight, versatile tripod complete with an articulated head and carrying bag. Of course, don't expect the quality of professional tripods, we are still talking about joints, clips and plastic head, but it will do its job easily and you will be surprised. I use it with several cameras, Sony a5100, Canon 1300D and 800D, also with the GoPro, alongside a second more professional tripod. I have often carried it around with me because its transportable 'is really one of its strong points, then the handle is something exceptional. When closed, the footprint is minimal. I was not happy with the panoramic films, the plastic head is a bit "jerky" for nothing fluid, forget the "micro adjustments" during filming. It reaches a great height, like a monster in the video, thanks also to the central extension, adjustable through a crank, quite precise but if you are not careful to tighten it well, it will tend to go down in case of heavy camera. Convenient the possibility of the slide to release in a super rapt and the possibility of being able to position the camera both horizontally and vertically. There are also two levels, one for the tripod and one for the head, good Amazon. For those who think it can break after a week I can say that, from my experience, I have been using this tripod for over six months, bought on Amazon UK and I have never had any problems and no structural failure. Value for money, in my opinion, unbeatable. I highly recommend it. Greetings and see you at the next review. Good Shopping.

Lightweight and sturdy, excellent for the price.
Let me start by saying I am an avid photographer and have 2 other tripods. My favourite is over 20 years old, but is one of the sturdiest I have ever found and will not change it. That said it is very heavy and cumbersome so not very suitable for mobile shots so I wanted something lighter that I could effectively not worry about if lost etc. I ordered this when it was on offer and am very happy I did. The tripod comes well packaged in a plain box which literally contains the Tripod and carrying case and nothing else. No superfluous packaging or materials. It is lightweight, and the carry bag has an adjustable strap so you can sling it over your shoulder when on the move. It is made of a fairly cheap feeling material and I'm not sure of it's longevity, but perfectly useable. On to the tripod itself. This feels very sturdy for such a cheap model. The three legs are fully adjustable and there are two spirit bubbles to assist with levelling the platform. It uses a latch system on the extending legs which again feels quite sturdy, although I have only used it a few times so again I'm not certain of longevity. The mount uses a quick release system very similar to a couple of others I have useful if moving about and for quick setup and teardown if you leave it on your equipment. I've stated the tripod is lightweight and my only gripe if I had to have one is it can feel a little top heavy if using with heavy equipment. Obviously for most tripod photography this isn't a problem but even though it is solid the top heavy feeling can reduce confidence when in use. It doesn't inspire the same confidence that I have in my main tripod, but as this cost less than £20 when I bought it and my original cost roughly that over 20 years ago I wouldn't expect it to. I would happily recommend this product and indeed already have to a couple of friends. This is my honest an unbiased review, although it was on offer it was a general offer and I was not given a discount in return for a favourable review. Great Value Tripod
I have a camera tripod, but it is somehwere else and I needed one in a hurry. I saw this one, and chose a "Used Like New" option for just over 12 quid. The tripod is in perfect condition, just a dent in the generic brown box. The tripod is nice and light - and has a standard/typical design, with telescopic, locking legs to adjust height. It comes in a plastic zip-up case, which is reasonably sturdy and has enough room for a small accessory or two (like my phone mount). I'm very happy with this, it is great value, works well and it got me out of a hole.

3/5 stars - Lightweight and convenient, but limited stability and durability at full extension
I bought this tripod as a lightweight support for casual photography and occasional mounting of small accessories, and it is very much designed around portability rather than rigidity. In use, the aluminium legs extend smoothly and the lever locks are quick to set, which makes setup painless even when moving between shots. At just over half a kilo it feels almost negligible in a rucksack, and the supplied zippered bag is practical rather than decorative. With a compact camera or a small DSLR and short lens, it balances acceptably, and the integrated bubble level helps speed up basic framing. Where the compromises show is in stability and long-term robustness. The centre column introduces noticeable flex when fully extended, and the three-way head, while functional, feels plasticky and lacks the damping you would expect for precise composition. In calm indoor conditions it performs adequately, but outdoors even mild wind exposes its limits. I would not trust it with heavier bodies or extended lenses despite the quoted load rating. Overall, it is a reasonable tool for occasional use, travel, or beginners, but it is not built for demanding or repeated professional work.

Great addition to my photography gear.
I'm really glad I picked up this tripod. It's been an amazing addition to my photography gear. The tripod is super versatile and adjustable. It collapses down into a small compact tripod, easily fitting into rucksacks or bags. It can extend in 3 stages, and turns into a full size tripod. The tripod is super lightweight, but very sturdy and stable once set up. I have used it for my compact digital camera, as well as my DSLR camera, both have been fine on the tripod. It comes with a mount for the camera, which should fit pretty much any camera out there with a standard tripod slot. Once the camera is on the tripod, there full adjustment on the direction, vertical and horizontal angle. Its a great tripod. Very simple and easy to use.

Unerwarteter Allrounder – hochwertig, vielseitig und preislich ein Volltreffer
Zugegeben: Ich bin kein Fotoprofi.

Amazing light tripod for the price
Does the job as described for a very low price. It's not very tall at 127cm and not super stable. The plastic plate to attach to the head also doesn't inspire much confidence. But It's very light and compact so a great travel tripod for light cameras and definitely beats a rock or mini tripod as tripod. The legs locks feel a bit flimsy but do the job. The leggs don't slide out freely but might after some more use. Only having 3 extension stages makes it quick to deploy and the head while not smooth does have tilt and swivel lock.
