Great taste, authentic .

I was so disappointed when Bookbinders went out of business. That meant the end to their canned soup. Growing up in suburban Philadelphia, I always enjoyed Snapper soup. When the canned soup was no longer available, I looked into making it myself. While there are several recipes on the internet, preparation is complicated. So, I abandoned that idea.When the Worthmore Mock Turtle Soup came off backorder, I purchased 6 cans. This soup is great! The taste is very similar to Bookbinders but it has a lot more meat in it. Of course, you can buy a lot of lean beef for what Snapper Turtle meat costs. Even if you have never tasted Snapper soup, give this a try. To enhance the flavor, put some Sherry in it. That's the way all fine restaurants in Philadelphia served it.

My first experience with mock turtle soup. It's a decent, hardy soup and makes a meal. Expect to add some S&P to taste, and I added a couple tbsp of dry sherry. The soup is a tad "bland" and recommend enjoying it with some crusty hot garlic bread, which I did. I gave a 4 star, as it didn't "wow" me. Will probably order again, as it's a decent meal. Although there's eggs in this soup, will try adding a chopped egg next time.

The price is pretty high. The soup was good just not the same brand.

My favorite soup,hearty,tangy,hard to find but appsolutly fabulous! Little hot sauce is great, Fritos too.

I ordered the 10 oz cans. They are just enough for one cup of soup. Next time I will order the larger cans...This is a hard to find soup and a hidden secret. I think the name Turtle soup runs people off. It is quite good and has a great flavor. I wish it were less expensive but there are few sources

The soup has a disgusting, sour flavor like it has spoiled before it even was canned. I have had many a variety of Mock Turtle soup and this one is by far the saddest excuse for ine if have ever encountered and the seller must know that since a rerun and refund is denied!Stay away. Stay FAR away!
