Is this supposed to work with the 12v batteries - just got mine and it doesn’t work

Electrically, the 10.8v batteries are the same as the 12v batteries. The only thing that changed is the labels. The reason for the change is that another manufacturer was putting 12v on their line of similar tools and people were buying the other tools thinking that they were a higher voltage and therefore better. As someone else pointed out this light will only work with the batteries intended for the blue pro range, it will not work with the batteries intended for the green DIY range as the moulding on the bottom of the DIY battery is different and will not mechanically fit into the pro tools. I have one and its great.

Brightness ??lumens??

Luminous flux (lm) is 330. Subjectively It's bright and covers a very wide angle. A downside I find is ther'es not much tro help hanging it over a working area without a tripod.

I have a gsr 12 v- drill in an l-boxx. there is a spare space in the inlay that looks like it may be for this led light! does it fit? thanks g

Sorry I don’t know. There are quite a few different inlays available. Great light though, very bright.

Does this torch come with a pouch or canyou buy one separately

No pouch and i haven't seen one around, but I can't see you 'd need one unless for a specialist reason. It's a touch bit of kit and has lots of options for hanging from a belt or similar.
