After air-drying then blow drying the last bit of moisture out, then I use the steampod and my wavy, curly hair is smoothed and controlled so quickly! Takes less than half the time of my (still fantastic) Paul Mitchell straighteners, but the hair doesn't feel at all crispy, or greasy, or even flat-looking. Because of the steam it seems to have a bit more body and definitely doesn't look damaged, which with my hair is a miracle. I don't use the cream most of the time (because I keep forgetting), but it still works wonders. My only complaint is it's a tad unwieldy, and could do with some kind of heat protectant case to rest it on. I wish the cord for the iron was longer too, but you can't have everything. This is so worth it!! If you're hesitating, and have naturally unruly hair (mine's gotten more unruly as my thirties have trundled on), don't hesitate!! I have very problematic hair: frizzy, thick, coarse and long. When I am done straightening with these, it feels completely different - healthy, smooth and sleek. I have received so many compliments about my hair since I bought the steam pod!Before these, I bought a pair of GHDs but returned them as they were not hot enough to make a lasting look. I tried the steam-pod hesitantly, as I was worried about the effect of the steam on my hair, but in fact since using it my hair has never been healthier and had fewer split ends than now.Only reason for 4* is due to some of the technology/design issues: the steam orifices get quite limescale-y very quickly (although I only use deionised water, as it says in the leaflet). This means they need cleaning after every use, which is inconvenient. Also the comb attachment is hard to remove and re-attach, and it also needs cleaning after every use as it's made out of a material prone to trapping dirt. I also use my GHD's for curling and I had read that the new steam pods could be used for that. I don't see how as the paddles are too large.Anyway, I've now returned my steam pods and instead have purchased a new pair of trusty GHD's. Kurzes Beispiel: Ich habe auch ein GHD Gold (für viele der heilige Gral unter den Glätteisen) zu Hause, das glättet aber bei weitem nicht so gut und so schonend! Der Steam Pod ist meiner Meinung nach das beste Glätteisen am Markt und das aus verschiedenen Gründen:- Ich habe sehr starke Naturwellen, die bei Luftfeuchtigkeit und mit der Zeit nach dem glätten immer wieder zum Vorschein kamen. Mir dem Stempod halten die Haare sogar, wenn es sehr feucht ist oder gar leicht Regnet/Nieselt. Außerdem muss ich nur mehr 1 x glätten und das Ergebnis hält bis zur nächsten Wäsche! *freu freu freu*- Die Haare werden definitiv geschont! Meine Haare sind viel gesünder, seit ich das Glätteisen benutzte! Ich habe schon lange blondierte Haare, die vom zusätzlichen glätten immer abbrachen. Diese Problem ist dank des Steam Pods vorbei! Meine Haare waren seither nie wieder trocken oder frizzy nach dem glätten!- Man ist super schnell fertig und braucht nicht so viel Hitze, damit man schöne Ergebnisse erzielt!Alles in allem Super! :) :) :) Ich kann auch an der Haltbarkeit des Geräts nichts negatives feststellen. Anfangs habe ich dummerweise Leitungswasser genommen, dass einmal ein paar Dampfdüsen verkalkt sind. Die habe ich aufgestochen und seither geht wieder alles - also UNBEDINGT an die Anweisung halten und destilliertes Wasser nehmen. Ich habe es auch zum Reisen mitgenommen. Es ist zwar umständlicher, aber man gewöhnt sich dran und es ist es mir allemal Wert! Auch die Glättungscreme kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Bei mir hat es bei Schulter - Brustlangen Haaren immer funktioniern. Nur Locken kann ich damit nicht machen. Deux passages me concernant suffisent.Ensuite, ils sont incroyablement doux ! Je n'avais initialement pas acheté les produits et pourtant le touché était top.Je les ai tout de même pris par la suite et je ne regrette pas : ils apportent une réelle valeur ajoutée (+ de douceur, + de tenue encore et sentent relativement bons).Concernant la tenue, il n'y a rien à dire jusqu'au couché ! Mes cheveux sont impeccables du matin au soir et ce, sans repasser un coup de brosse à cheveux ou quoique ce soit d'autre.J'étais au départ méfiante quant à sa prise en main, mais cela est relativement rapide. En à peine deux passages, on prend rapidement le pli. J'ai donc une journée réelle de tenue, mais je n'y passe pas plus de quatre minutes le jour suivant.
