Remote Control Key Fob Case for Citroen Xsara Picasso Berlingo Locking System With Blade and Interlocking Plastic Hook

Works perfectly. My key shank is not a secured by a screw, but just pushes and clips in.I removed the circuit board for the remote locking. The little black transponder chip (it's near the key shank clipped in) and then pulled out the key shank (pliers on shank and a gentle lever applied on old case, taking care to clear the back plastic base of the shank when levering).I put a bit of double-sided sticky tape on the transponder and pushed it into the new case (the clip isn't present, but the cavity is the correct size and shape, so the tape was just in case it would rattle a little). Then I put the circuit board in place and pushed the two sides of the case together.Finally pushed the key shank in, the shank travelled about 0.5mm further than flush into the case.It works perfectly in the car, I replaced the case in probably less than 5minutes (my button pads had fallen off my original Citroen key fob). Much cheaper and easier than having to take it somewhere to get it done.Many thanksStephen

Managed to combine the new button half of the shell with the original lower half that holds the key shaft and contains the transponder. About a 95% match - it can be felt that the two halves are a ever-so slightly different size. But - they are near enough a match to clip and hold together securely and everything works again.

My buttons had gone on my Xsara Picasso key fob and was held together with tape. I ordered this replacement and watched a couple of you tube videos giving advice and tips on swapping fob internal system to the new one. One Citroen owner had said it was easier to just keep the back of your old fob and just replace the front with the new buttons. I tried this, but something very small was stopping the two pieces clicking together. Never mind, I had seen a video on how to remove the little black transponder, tucked in to the corner of the old back, DO NOT THROW THIS AWAY - YOU NEED IT FOR your fob to work!! So, I removed the transponder, (you need a safety pin to pop it out) and put in to the new back. I changed the battery whilst it was open (have new battery ready, with plastic removed off the back and the + ve side up, as I read that you have 30 seconds to replace the battery without it affecting the fob) and I pulled my metal key out of old fob with pliers (I don't have a screw in my fob - you do need to check to see if you have a screw holding your key in to fob or a if you have a rubber tipped key that you can just pull out so that you buy the correct replacement fob) and slotted in to the new piece. All clicked together and tried and tested and starts car and works central locking. All seems to be well so far!! Much cheaper than a new Citroen key fob etc. I am a girl, not a mechanic and I managed to do this in about 5-10 minutes and with no hassle at all! I would definitely recommend this replacement. Watch some videos online and it is simple. Wish I had bought it sooner!

Came 3 days earlier than eta. Five minutes to change old one. Works well.

Recently bought a used car where the buttons on the key fob was coming loose. Ordered this, had a look on YouTube and presto, a new fob case was fitted. Easy peasy.

Decided to purchase a new remote key fob after my original fell to pieces after 11 years....cheaper than buying a new car!Followed YouTube video to take apart, but couldn't remove the key. The new fob fitted almost perfectly onto the existing, so the buttons are new and the key, battery and transponder remain in the existing. Working perfectly.

Really not happy, when i purchased this key fob, i was unaware that inside it is a small chip that also acts as an emobilisor, there was no warning of it and now ive had to get my ignition changed costing me £500 pound. Very angry dissatified customer !

The key fob was good value for the money .If you went dealers ,it would be far more expensive.
