Driving Force Racing Shifter for G29, G920 & G923

I think this is a very good quality product, i have used it on my pc and Xbox, which it works perfectly fine for. It feels real, however there is no resistance when shifting but that is not a problem. The clamps work really well, the shifting is very responsive, and it also looks pretty good. For the price point, I’d say if you’re in the market for something like this you should 100% get it. As for noise level, it wouldn’t be a concern as the force feedback from the racing wheel it is compatible with would be quite a bit louder.

Reviewed using Project CARS and DiRT Rally on the PS4. The Logitech Driving Force Shifter is an almost essential add on for the G29 for the sim-racing enthusiast. I bought this at a price point of £24.99 - (down from it's previous price of £49.99, which felt a little dear), and I've found it to be well worth the money. It's a well packaged, premium item (much like the G29 wheel itself). It's a leather wrapped, steel shaft, six speed shifter with a push-down reverse. It's connected via a serial port, not via USB - so this won't work as a stand alone gear shift, and is only compatible with the G29 (note that you CAN use the G27 shifter with the G29 wheel). The gear changes are short and well defined, with the shifter finding each gear with a reassuring clunk. The shifter gate is plastic - which you can feel a little when you change gears, but it's clearly very solid and well made so overall doesn't detract from the experience. A little oddity is the push down reverse (which feels like it's below 6th gear) - it's a little bit awkward at first, but I haven't found that overall, it affects regular driving. Gameplay wise, it really makes a huge difference - particularly with Project CARS, giving a real authenticity to driving the manual shifting vehicles, more than I thought it would. It's a genuine thrill to be able to use a full manual gear stick, adding a depth to the game that you'd normally only see on a PC (again, note that this IS compatible with the PC, I've only used this on the PS4 though). It really does bring the game close to the track day experience. I was concerned that using this with DiRT Rally - an already challenging game - would make it extremely difficult, but I actually found that it makes handling a rally car somewhat easier, being able to drop through several gears at once definitely decreased my stage times, plus I find a manual gearbox a little more intuitive than the paddles (I sometimes mis-shift if I have the steering wheel upside-down and I'll shift up instead of down). I've also seen kits for this stick that will convert it to a sequential shifter (basically - it's a rubber band) for a more authentic rally experience. Overall - for £24.99 this is a brilliant buy that brings racing games to life - it's enhanced my experience of racing game more than I thought it would. It's definitely well worth spending the money on.

This product I would say is worth buying and is good for the money but performance wise I would say it feels realistic like a real gear shifter. From my experience I’ve been using this for over a month now pared up with my g923 and it is very compatible with that and a friend that uses the g920 says it is also compatible with that and easy to set up, over this month I’ve seen that it is very very durable and low noise. It is a very simple product there are no buttons on it which gives it even more durability as it’s just a stable gearstick. Overall I would say if you are looking for a very accurate and precise gear shifter for the g923 or g920 I can say you should purchase this as it’s cheap and very compatible with the 2 wheels I have used it on.

Grabbed a bargain in the Black Friday sale. Came as a pack with the Logitech steering wheel and pedals. Easy to setup even tho you only get a piece of paper with instructions no actual booklet you’d expect. Download the software for calibration and other settings. Has twist clamps to hold the gear stick to the desk. Would have liked some foam or rubber feet to prevent marks on my desk. Nice soft material too on the gear shifter. Played wish ET2 and beam ok.

This gear stick plus the steering wheel and pedals are awesome just been spending the past few hours getting used to it in the game beamNG.Drive and you can feel which cars have power steering and which ones don’t, this steering wheel and th gear stick is so comfortable and soft, the accuracy is mental in this game and when it arrived I just couldn’t eat to get it all set up and play it, the gearstick is really light and easy for me to set up, the noise is literally like changing the gears in a real car and the overall quality of the products I’ve bought were in brand new condition, highly reccomend, sorry if there are any spelling mistakes please forgive me, as I am dislexic
