BlueBeach Wireless USB Presenter PowerPoint Remote Control Laser Pointer for PPT / Keynote / Prezi / OpenOffice / Windows / Mac OS / Android / Linux

This is the second one of these I have purchased, my other was loaned out so I needed another quickly. I have owned the other one for a few years and used it regularly for public talks. They are very compact, work very well and have some nice features. The laser is bright (red) enough but not intrusively so. The range is much further than the supplier suggest - my units work ok at 30 to 40 metres - ran out of space not out of range! I have used the USB dongle without problems in a wide range of Windows machines with XP, Vista and Windows 10 although once had an issue with an old Mac notebook. I have used many similar devices professionally, some costing a lot more but this model is as good as any and better than most. My first unit cost a little more than the last purchase and came in a semi-hard case, this one comes in a pouch.If I have one small grumble, the on/off switch can be switched on when putting in the hard case - resulting in a flat battery, easy to remedy, I take the battery out when replacing the USB dongle in its slot. This may not happen with the soft pouch and the power switches do have a positive click action. I have not found any software that works with a normal mouse that cannot be used with this device, e.g. most versions of MS Office, Open Office and Libre Office. The device always seems to connect itself to the USB dongle but can be manually connected by pressing a small button on the unit.

Clever idea with short range.I liked how it helped the flow of slide-discussion-slide with the students. Ease of use for knowing which slide is coming next. Allows for reading slide notes before students see slide, great if you are filling in using another lecturers presentation.Main like for me, ability to reverse slide when one to one with student in a classroom setting.Happy to recommend and would purchase again

Quite a good presenter for not much money. The buttons tend to audibly click when pressed, unlike some more expensive models where this feature is supressed. The layout of the buttons makes it obvious which one does what once you've had a chance to play with it briefly. The receiver stores inside the body, you have to remove the battery cover to get to it and it doesn't sit tight in its recess, it rattles around in there which does reflect the price of this unit. The battery cover itself needs care in handling as its quite fragile. The receiver itself is smaller than most although it works in the same way as others. The laser is average brightness, not enough to show up against a monitor as it is intended for walls or projector screens. The big thing with this remote compared to others I have tried is it supports Linux! I have used it on Linux Mint 18.3 and it works fine. This sets this one apart from the mainstream crop of presentation remotes.

I will be honest I bought this because it was on prime and I needed it for next day delivery. It was cheap and included a laser pointer etc.. It turned up I plugged it into my laptop it was installed and working before I could open powerpoint so a big plus. I tried it on 8 more computers at work each one perfect and installed in seconds.I had a presentation the next day, it worked seamlessly. It is small, light the buttons are well placed and it works perfectly using it was very natural. There are far more expensive ones out there, there are ones with a much more complex set of functions and buttons but ask yourself what do you really need when carrying out a powerpoint presentation? I would guess it's covered on this device.For the price, it is amazing value I don't recommend many items but this one gets my thumbs up.

So far so good. It's small and neat and seems to work. It does look fragile though, so I wouldn't be surprised to find it breaking before too long. It has an odd arrangement for storing the USB connector when not in use; you need to open the battery compartment to get to it. I think that if I had realised this I would probably have opted for a more expensive version with the more normal external slot for this.

Its basic but for the price what can you say. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't work if presenting a word or pdf but it seems ok - scrolls up and down in word and pages up and down in pdf but that's about all you need to do. An excel sheet scrolls up and down but doesn't seem to go left and right so a bit limited for that. PPT is pretty neat scrolls up and down and pages through the slides - selecting full screen or turn off display. Nice little laser. All in all a useful llittle gadget - shall see how it lasts. If you want full control you may be better with a combined mouse and presenter unit - depends on what you need it for

I was puzzled by some of the negatve reviews, but realised the cover has a small piece of plastic that needs to be removed in order to replace/remove it normally. Without doing this the back won't stay on. The USB element is smuggled away discretely inside the compartment alongside the battery compartment and provides a neat stoarge for it. I found it worked brilliantly. The laser is bright for normal presentations and the buttons feel robust and satisfting in use. Great value.

I bought this to use in the classroom so that I can move around and switch slides on my lesson presentations. I've only practised it at home so far but it is really easy to connect to laptops, simple design and having the lazer pointer allows you to draw attention to anything on the board. I also thought that it was a great price compared to some others on the market.
