Toshiba 64GB USB 2.0 - incredible value if “write” speed is not a priority
firstly, there are a mix of reviews for different Toshiba memory sticks. This is for the 64GB usb 2.0 version . The stick is compact and reliable. It provides an incredible amount of storage for a very low price. The downside is that usb 2.0 has much slower transfer speeds than newer usb 3.0. If write speed is a priority and you want to transfer large files quickly then do NOT buy the 2.0 version, go for later 3.0 . If you are happy to use this as a back-up and can let it take the time it needs (for 64gb - 3+ hrs) , the usb 2.0 is ideal. Reading from the usb 2.0 (and writing back to your main device/computer) is about 5 times faster. The read speed is probably fast enough to be used for 1080p HD video ( I would do test first) but not 4K UHD. It is, however, not really suitable for using except bac-up long term storage as accessing say music files for a media player is too slow to be enjoyable. I bought this as a better place to store about 50gb of mp3 music files, it does the job perfectly. finally, I repeat, if you are not happy to allow a couple of hours for the usb to fill up, buy a more expensive faster version.

Cheap and fast
£2.98 for 16GB? Wow.When I got this I plugged it into my Linux box and it mounted immediately. I copied various files to it and it seemed snappy. I then put it in my MacBook Pro and expected it to throw a hissy-fit about the file format but no, mounted straightaway no problem.I went straight on to Amazon and ordered the larger 32GB - £3.67 - that's just stupidly cheap.I've read some reviews slagging this off as slow but I've tested writing a 2gb .iso file to it (via Ubuntu) from a NAS and got a consistent 19.4m/s as you can see in the pic.I'm looking forward to getting the 32gb one. For the price of about half a pint I can use it t download and backup my entire Google Photos library. Can't comment on using it with Windows as I don't use it.

Brilliant for the price!
I picked up this USB drive for less than £5 and had it delivered the next day. Obviously these days USB drives are getting cheaper and cheaper to purchase, but a 32gb for under a fiver is a great deal. It comes with a little plastic cap to keep the insertable part safe and has a small hole to thread a string through for a charm or a small keyring. I've lost a load of these so popped one of the kids keyrings on to make it a bit bigger.I would have given this 5 stars but the transfer rate from computer to drive is pretty slow, not slow enough to be upset about but with USB 3.0 around anything less seems like it's at a snail's pace! I've yet to have any data loss or any problems so far with the drive and it's lived in my pocket for a few months so I'm pretty happy on the whole with it!

Best USB Stick I have ever had
I think that this product is the best value USB Stick on the Market. I would recommend this product to anyone because it is fast, easy to use and durable. My USB is on a set of keys that get dropped all the time and I have not lost any files and it is in really good condition. The lid on the top protects the input really well. The high speed transfer makes it really easy to transport and use across many computers. Overall it is AMAZIMG!

Trustworthy Toshiba
I've used Toshiba for many years now, with my first ever USB drive back in 2005 being a Toshiba (with a massive 256MB capacity!). I've had very good experiences with a few external hard drives since then so it felt natural to choose them again when looking for a drive on which to store my RAW photo files. It isn't the fastest, and it isn't the best looking of the bunch, but for my purposes I'm very pleased as it comes with a very strong clip on cap and plenty of room to attach a string or key ring onto. It looks quite rugged too. Super fast transfer speed was never something I was overly concerned with so for what I use it for it's perfect. Very good value.

Fantastic little USB drives!
These are great little USB sticks; I now have bought three of these for various reasons. 1 for another family member, 1 with files / photos backed up and 1 for a Windows recovery / boot drive. They are so cheap that I am likely to order another one or two as I'd like to have a separate drive exclusively for photos - useful if carrying to a friend's house if you want to show holiday pics without also taking your private Word documents!Hard to review, the oldest one is about three years old and no problems (touch wood). Same with the other two. With USB sticks they can of course just die suddenly, so I'm happy to get one from a company that has a good enough CV with regards to computer memory / storage products. Makes me feel a little better than buying a cheapie no-name, but tbh these are running at £4 / 16gb at time of writing, so I've no complaints there either.Seems stable, formats well (I have both FAT32 and NTFS formatted drives), decent styling. For my needs, I wouldn't feel it necessary to spend more just to buy a better name drive; but obviously backup files in multiple locations is probably wise with any drive, wherever possible is probably good advice. So far, so good, this is great for me. Recommend it!

It's Cheap & it Works - Slow Transfer Rates
The TransMemory stick by Toshiba is fine as far as size and cost goes, but it leaves a lot to be desired with speed of transfer of information on to it, especially as it is supposed to be USB2. I have other older sticks that definitely transfer more quickly. It could be said that you get what you pay for and this is certainly Very cheap for a stick of this capacity. I however don't feel entirely confident to fully recommend it as truly reliable as per the description. Very cheap - slow transfer rate and - yes it works (I can't guarantee how long). That is as far as I am willing to go. I personally don't feel confident to buy another. I hope this helps others considering this a potential purchase.
