I've used rack guards before but never found them ideal. Usually a stiff plastic material that degrades quickly in heat, becoming unreliable and prone to being easily knocked off just when you need them most!These are totally different, a mouldable silicone that wraps around the rack rail and holds tight no matter what. Being silicone I know an overnight soak in soapy water is all that will be needed to keep them clean and can 100% trust they will offer excellent protection from burns.I have a lack of sensitivity on the backs of my hands and down the outside of my thumbs so when I accidently touch onto something hot I am unaware until I see a big blister forming afterwards. The oven is a favourite place for me to do this, burning myself on the top shelf while tending to something on the lower shelf. These guards wrap right round so no way can I hurt myself, they're a brilliant design.They were easy to fit, even with my numb and tingling lack of dexterity, as they are very pliable and even a little stretchy. They look pretty smart too.One other benefit I noticed when fitting them... Sometimes I find it easier to grab the whole shelf out with baking tray on top and then sort things out on top of the hob. The silicone acts like a break and stops the oven rack sliding around on the hob which is brilliant.Without a doubt these are worth every penny!

Handy and ideal for oven shelves to protect against spills. Works well. Just cut to size and now can take out to wipe clean no problem. Saves messes in the oven.

Good product which will prevent me from burning my hands on the shelves when getting hot baking trays etc out of the oven. Also they help keep the shelves becoming splashed when using the grill which is integral in my oven.

Great to slip on to the edge of the oven shelf,keeps it clean and no more burns from catching a finger or wrist when pushing the shelf into the oven when checking hot food.

Load of rubbish, these actually still get as hot as the oven shelves and continued to burn me when I accidentally touched them. I brought this to prevent this from happening and it hasn't. Because of this and the item not actually doing what it recommend it did, I will be sending them back.I wouldn't personally waste your money on this item, would NOT recommend this product, even to someone I hated

Don’t grip the shelf properly so keep falling off.

Good idea. Fits shelf well and protects hands from front rail burns.
