Perfect fit for a medium sized cat
My cat has a neurological disorder and experiences phantom itching on his face. It is so bad, without a cone he would tear his face apart. We adopted him from a shelter where he had been returned 3x because of his problem. His vet said he would need to wear a cone forever or be declawed .We chose the cone and he has been wearing one for years. This model and size is our go to. He has adapted well and it is no hindrance. He can see through it, and it is not too large or awkward for our 11 pound tabby. My only complaint is that the protective edging doesn't last as long a the rest of the cone. I get about 6 months before we need to change it because the welting is torn up or falling off. I need to say this is because of constant use. Most people buying this will use it after a pets surgery or injury for the duration of rehab. It will hold up just fine for shorter duration wear without question. Highly recommended

Too short!
Leather like covered edges so they don't crack when the dog inevitably runs into things. Clear so dog can see=less likely to try to tear it off. HOWEVER it isn't long enough!! I got a medium for my 12lb terrier mix and she could still reach her incision because the cone only reached halfway down her snout. How big around was fine but needs to be longer or pick a bigger size!

Does the job but check the sizing
We bought this cone for our Corgi and it works great. The biggest problem is the sizing. We needed to buy a Large to get the proper fit for our Corgi who weighs in at all of 30lbs. Definitely measure your dog's collar/neck before purchasing to make sure this cone will fit.

I am a lot happier with it than my pup.
I have been very happy with this E-collar, my 8 month old puppy would probably rate this item a 1 star because it is serving its purpose. A little over a week ago I noticed a spot of missing fur and a small scar on my pups head. Based on the where it is and the height of a air event she loves to run by, I am fairly certain I knew what was hurting her but even after taking steps to prevent it from happening but her sore was still getting worse, then I noticed she was scratching the spot and making it way worse so I took a chance that it was time for her first cone.It was a little difficult to snap the sides together but that should mean that they will be even harder to come apart so I can't complain much about that. The collar has stayed on despite her best intentions in removing it and she has still been able to eat and drink which I was concerned about. As she is still not used to the added room needed to move, she still finds herself hitting things and all the force that comes with that, being taken in stride by the collar. I have not had any issues like others have mentioned about the plastic cracking. She is a very high energy breed and I figured if any body would see it fall apart, I would be first in line but it has held up just fine.Bottom line, this collar has been holding up well and most importantly I am starting to see some improvements on her healing.

Misleading Sizes
I just received the cone in medium size for my 40 lb dog and it's not even close to fitting her. And since it's not worth returning (shipping fees) I feel like I just threw away money. Very disappointed.

Cone of Shame review
It was great for the two days that it lasted, the little black plastic closures were history popped off never to be seen again when the dog would try unsuccessfully to get out through the doggy door with her collar on. We had to resort to mass quantities of duct tape. (but we did find duct tape with doggy paws on it)I wouldn't buy this again, just stick with the cheap one the veterinarian gives you and sew padding around the neck and cone--it stayed on better.

Clear Remedy Recovert E-Collar
I purchased 2 of these collars (one blue and one clear) prior to my cat, Gwyneth's surgery to remove a tumor on her side. While no pet owner likes to put an E-collar on their pet, there are times when it is necessary to keep them from licking or biting their stiches. I like these collars because they are clear. The animal can still see the ground. The edges that come in contact with the neck, and the outer circumference of the arc are covered with material, to help keep the collar from rubbing, or possibly scratching the animal. The plastic tabs that secure the collar can be a bit trying to snap and unsnap, but Gwyneth was not able to undo them. Gwyneth has healed, and the E-collar has been cleaned and put away in a drawer in case it's services are ever needed again.

Does the job but my cat still hates it
My cat has a spot he wont stop licking so I got this to help out. I am glad that I got the medium. He is a 20lb cat and i lock it on the 3rd notch. It took a while for him to get used to it and now he can get around fine he just runs away sometimes when I try to put it back on him. I will be very happy when I don't need this anymore but until then it is doing its job.
