All good!
I have been using this device for a few days. No problems, pleasantly impressed! It is easy to use and sturdy. Will see if it last a long time.Manual not good English, but I managed to get through.Question: Has anyone checked the volts reading? Is it correct? My multimeter shows 2 volts less than the reading of this charger.UPDATE a month laterReading are correct. This charger is great! Use setting as they are or set yourself. User friendly. Bright lcd!Hope they make one for 40A.Love it.CON. Hooking on the wires from battery and panels is a PAIN! especially if wires are think, as they should be.

No product support, very disappointing
I spent a long time researching before deciding to purchase this solar controller which I believe to be one of the best value for money available. It’s Chinese of course but appears to be well made and it’s a real MPPT.Update Sept ’18. I bought two Eco-Worthy 100w semi flexible panels and a 20amp MPPT controller in September ’17 but I didn’t fit them to my campervan until June ’18.I was expecting the two 100w panels to provide sufficient power for a small compressor fridge (average 40w) and to keep a 100ah battery topped up. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed and have never seen more than 1.2 amp from the controller.I presume either the panels or the controller are faulty and sent a message to Eco-Worthy a couple of days ago. No reply as yet.Update 2. No reply from Eco-Worthy and further use over the last few days have not shown an improvement in the controller performance. In bright sunlight and 2x100w panels connected in parallel (as recommended by Eco-Worthy) to the 20amp controller the maximum output is usually less than 1amp. Even with a modest load of less than 2amps for a Waeco CR-50 fridge the controller is unable to provide sufficient power and the battery discharges.Update 3. I initially gave a 5-star rating, the MPPT controller appeared to be well made and a solid construction but unfortunately, I didn’t test it.It doesn’t work and as I bought it many months before I used it I can’t send it back to Amazon. Eco Worthy don’t reply and I guess they are too big to bother about one customer so it looks like I have to put this one down to experience and buy another controller, but it won’t be from Eco Worthy. I’m one of a small number of dissatisfied customers and I have to revise my rating to one star.My recommendation: Test it as soon as you receive it.Update 4 (Oct 18). Still no response from Eco Worthy or anyone else. Very disappointing. However, further testing has revealed a problem with the Eco Worthy 100w panes and it’s possible that the controller is trying to extract power where none exists. I’ll still leave the score a 1 star due to the complete lack of contact from the supplier.

Good Quality MPPT Solar Charger
I have this regulating the charge and power in an outbuilding/playhouse/shed in the garden. It's been installed for about a month, so has caught the end of this year's summer sunshine. It's hooked up to a 80W Solar Panel on the roof, and a 90ah 12V leisure battery. When the battery drops down to ~12V the MPPT part of the circuitry kicks in and extracts the maximum amount of current from the solar panels, but once the battery gets above about 12.7V it slows to a trickle charge and just does PWM charging. These voltage thresholds can be configured through the menu system although I've gone with the default settings. The output load to control when the output is switched on is also configurable (always on, always off, time of day etc). I have mine permanently on, but then it routes through a mechanical master switch and individual switches and fuses to control the individual lighting and accessory circuits - obviously this is all extra stuff I've built on to the control board (see picture). The build quality seems excellent, sturdy and reassuringly weighty. The terminals on the bottom appear robust. I have 10AWG (6mm²) battery cable which fits in the terminals with no issues. It would probably take larger cable, but I've not tested this. The LCD display is backlit and clear (see picture), so readable at the push of a button, but it is a large unit compared to other non-MPPT units. This device is probably overkill for my needs and a definite indulgence on my part, over say a <£20 PWM charger. I bought it on the basis it will maximise the charge in the battery, with the variable amount of sun we get in the UK, and have the headroom to allow me to add batteries and panels in the future should I feel the need.

Excellent controller
A very good product that seems to have increased my charge from 120w panel and shows total charge and battery level. Very easy to fit.

very disappointed
I bought this solar charger to charge the batteries on my sailing boat. Installation was easy and all seemed to work fine... till summer came... At arbitrary moments, the solar charger stopped working and displayed "OVER-TEMP". Worst of all, when this happens, rather than just stopping to charge my batteries, the charger cuts all power to my appliances. Only after disconnecting and reconnecting both the batteries and the solar panel (and effectively rebooting the charger) it started working again.Contacted Eco-worthy support and after some emails eventually got following answer: "after checking with our technician "over-temp" means high temperature, it may cause by room temperature is higher in summer hot weather and when charging it also increase temperature, please find a way to cool down the controller. We kindly advise you use a small fan to decrease the controller temperature. Hope this is helpful to you." Well, to me it is not, but maybe to those who read this before they buy it will be...
