Worth ever penny and more!!
This item was more than I had bargained for!First it was cheaper than other similar items with less HDMI connections.Second it has a remote to change inputs as well as manual button.I bought this item because I had run out of ports on my TV and also I was tired of allocating HDMI ports to consoles, Chromecast, Android Box etc each time we re-connected or replaced an item! I decided that all the consoles can be on one port as you can only have one on at a time anyway to play and those of you have a WiiU yes it can be played on the smaller screen with TV on another channel. The switcher is compact approx 2 matchboxes and a bit big (side by side) the dimensions are on the product page but the emphasis is its damn small. In addition to the 5 HDMI inputs it has 1 HDMI output, a 3mm jack for the IR blaster (remote) and a DC 5V for power. I despaired at the site of the DC 5V hole as it yet again another thing that needed power and another plug behind the TV unit. Worse it did not even come in the box!! However after connecting everything up I found that it all worked without the additional power. This may due to version of HDMI running on my TV which also supplies some power I think. On the subject of TVs I ran 4K content from the Xbox One S and it displays correctly. Infact the Xbox picked up that the TV could handle 4K during setup and that was via the box.The box itself has not given me issues or any cause of concern. As long as you power on one device at a time then it will automatically switch between inputs. If you have more than one on e.g you have a WiiU running and decide to power on another device then you will need the remote or press the button on the box. There are some useful but bright blue LEDs that indicate which input is on. After a night you wont notice them unless you watch TV in a pitch black room. As mentioned before the box is very small so you could stick it to the back of the TV to hide entirely along with a good cable solution and stick the IR receiver on top of the TV (it comes with a sticker with its base) . The cable configuration is 3 HDMI on one side and 3 on the other. One side is void of connections and the IR receiver socket and DC 5V are on the other. There is enough room to connect standard HDMI cables in side by side although near snug. To be honest this will most likely prevent you from having any loose cabling. In a nut shell worth more than I paid and the quality of the product top notch. If you have any questions about this gem just ask.

Solid bit of kit, works well.
Simple box that does exactly what it says on the tin. I've used mine to connect my PS4 and PC as both inputs, and then output to another PC that's using an Elgato streaming card - so now at the click of a button on the remote (well, often it's automatic when I turn the PS4 on).The remote seems a little sensitive to being pointed exactly at the receiver - not sure if the battery needs replacing (only had it a couple of days) but i'm not too bothered about that, it does work and as i'm right next to the receiver it doesn't cause me any issues. The box itself is powered by USB, presumably intended to be powered by the USB on a TV - so I was quite pleased at not having another thing to plug in to the mains, and as I have a USB hub right next to where the box goes it was easy to get it up and running. The box itself is solid metal construction, feels nice and has an LED on it showing the current selected input. You can put the box anywhere, behind a hifi stack or TV etc, as the receiver is on its own extension cord and can be discretely put where ever it is convenient. No issues so far, works a treat - recommended.

Quick and easy solution.
Didn't realise this item needed a external USB power supply. Keep in mind this item comes with a very short usb cable, if you've got a USB port on your tv then it isnt bad. However I used this for my pc monitor so please be aware you might need to buy an extension cord if you haven't got one lying around. After that, item was very easy to set up, comes with an IR sensor and sticky pad to place somewhere. Remote and device work perfect. Only noticed an issue once started was that the signal kept dropping out, however it was only for a few seconds from setting up, it hasn't done that since. The flexibility with 5 ports is great as I have a pc, ps3, ps4 and nintendo switch set up, so it saves having to switch the cables out everytime I want to play something different. Well worth the money compared to others on amazon that have 3/4 ports.Definitely a must buy, however make sure you've got plenty of usb/hdmi cables running around.

Bought 2 neither worked!!!
Bought 2 of these as we have only 2 HDMI inputs on our TV and a growing number of devices to connect, so the product seemed a good idea. However, neither of the switches worked properly. The first would switch between sources manually but the remote control wouldn't work. This was useless as we wanted to keep all the wiring out of sight. Swapping the remotes and IR sensors showed that it was the unit itself at fault. Installing the second unit looked promising. It worked straight away, as did the remote control. After about quarter of an hour the unit stopped functioning, would not transmit any signal, and no lights were on any more. The quality on these switches is apalling. They are not to be recommended. We have only given this a one star rating becasue zero starts aren't an option.
