Xuanpad S3 Mini Dash Cam, Full HD 1080P Car Camera with 168° Wide Angle, G-sensor, Loop Recording

Just fancied having a dashcam. It arrived quickly and was really easy to install. I bought a generic SD card and inserted it into the camera which promoted a message saying that the camera needed class 6 or above, which this card allegedly was. The supplier replaced the card and I tried again. This time the camera didn't recognise the card at all. Contacted the seller who was extremely helpful, and told me to get a Sandisk card. (As did all my techie children) New card fixed all the problems and it works fine. The quality is amazing and you can even scan around 360 degrees. In all honesty it is much better quality than I have the right to expect for the money

So far, so good. It is very small and light and records fine. One small complaint is that the USB cable did not work properly when connected to my computer; at first I thought that it does not work on macs, but as soon as I used one of my own cables there was no problem and I could download and see all videos (of acceptable quality). For mac, you do not need any extra software as the device appears as a hard drive and you can drag and drop the videos on your desktop as usual. You just need a proper cable and the supplied one was a bit dodgy. The cable for the car works fine and is of adequate length, so you can pass it around the windscreen over the passenger's seat and it reaches the car charger socket easily.

I've only just installed it with a new 16Gb class 10 SD Card. I took the car around the block, it switched on and off automatically. I took out the SD card and played back the journey using VLC media player on my laptop - it worked perfectly. The video quality is not perfect but very good for the tiny size of the camera and the price. I'm a happy customer.

Dash cam works fine but night time not very clever, had it over 12 months now having problems with cable I thought it was blown fuse but it's melted inside casing i'm not sure I can find replacement cable. Since I put my review my wife's cam got same problem found out inside 12 volt plug the plastic inside goes brittle over time and breaks up into pieces I've tried to contact product maker without success don't buy this one it doesn't last.

This item does not save your files. I have made several journeys and it only seems to save some videos (which did not loop) i use a 32gb SD card, on my files i have some videos on the way to work and some videos on the way back. there have been multiple occasions where i wanted to use some footage that i definitely caught but the files were nowhere to be seen. also no product support on this so stay clear of this product.

Recently bought two of these, for both of the family cars and have been using them with Samsung Micro SD cards.The camera works ok, but with motion tracking switched on, it seems to record when there is no motion visible.Picture quality is not great, certainly not good enough to read number plates at further than 2-3 metres.

The image quality is outstanding, the night is very clear, but you can not see the license plate because of the light, if you do not get close. This cam board is very simple to use, according to the clear manual. This is an effective cam, I agree with the other positive reviews. Insert it, insert the SD card and it works well. The battery takes 15 seconds without power, however it needs to be connected permanently. It stops when the car is doing, but if you have a lighter that stays energized when the car stops, it will stay forever. Very beautiful panoramic view, excellent for daytime driving. Driving night is surprisingly good. Generally, this is a very efficient room, especially for the price!

I am revising my review down to 2 stars having used this dashcam a while longer. I'm doing this because although it's inexpensive, it has some problems that should not exist even in cheap stuff. Firstly, the stick-on-screen mounting support did not fit into the camera body as designed. I had to file the support sliding mount down to make it fit. Second, the silver logo on the front is sharp and I cut my finger on it when removing the cam from the mount.
