Berlitz Pocket Guide Oman (Berlitz Pocket Guides)

Another one of those handy pocket guides from Berlitz, packed with all the essential information required for a first-time visit to the country.

Pocket sized with enough information for Oman. Most other guides cover a larger area, including places like Dubai, UAE, etc. I was just going to Muscat so didn't want a larger book, with info I wouldn't need. This book is smaller, cheaper and so suited my purpose fine. No doubt not as detailed as other guides, but for me it was fine.

Just the job

Covered main points but not as good as some of the other Berlitz guides I have had before

Too basic. Not enough maps - a country needs to have a map at the beginning for reference. I have been writing guides for 20 years of my life and don't rate this one too highly, even if it is a brief guide. Won't buy this series again.
