Great for smoothies
I spent a long time trying to decide which matcha powder to buy. There seems to be lots of reviews which are not impressed by the bitter taste or written by people who have been asked to write a review. Also it is SO expensive!I am no expert in matcha green tea powder, I just wanted to buy some to try out some smoothie recipes from 365 Vegan Smoothies. So far I have just made a smoothie & it was lovely. There was no bitterness but the smoothie did have sweet peaches & banana in so that may have helped disguise it! As part of the purchase I was also sent a free ebook, via email, & it has lots of very nice looking recipes in it so overall I'm pleased that I finally decided to choose this make. From what I can tell you would need a different grade matcha to actually make tea but as I only want it as an ingredient it works really well.

Great quality tea
Great quality tea; was unexpectedly pleasant enough to taste. I down one every morning for health purposes. Bought at half price offer but wouldn't have done for the full price.

Will buy again
Got this to try. You recive a nice amount in the pack as you only need a small teaspoon full. It is a lot stronger than bagged green tea. You need to mix the powder well otherwise your left with residue. The first time I tried I used half teaspoon of sugar and a spot of milk now I use nothing in it.Received an email from the company with a free ebook of recipies to try out. I haven't tried the recipies yet but they look good.

Delicious !!
I don't normally write reviews, but I was so happy with my purchase and the company's customer service that I wanted to. The product arrived quickly and I made a matcha soya latte with it straight away. It was delicious! The company emailed me to thank me for my purchase and sent me instructions of how best to store/use the matcha, as well as sending me a recipe e-book. Fantastic!!Will be buying this product again soon.

Perfect !
Quick delivery, no problems, and a lovely e-mail with a small e-book about matcha and some recipes that I'm now looking forward to try! Although much cheaper than the first lot of matcha I got online it's just as good, so great value for money. Very happy with the service and product. Will certainly buy from this seller again in future!

Excellent Quality for Baking and Beverages
I bought this matcha powder for my husband, who loves making matcha lattes and using it in baking, and it has quickly become a staple in our kitchen. The quality is exceptional — the vibrant green color shows just how fresh and pure it is. It has a fine, smooth texture that makes it easy to work with and mix into drinks or recipes. In terms of functionality, it performs perfectly for a variety of uses. The flavor is rich and smooth with a slightly sweet, earthy undertone that isn’t too bitter — a common issue we’ve found with other matcha powders. It blends effortlessly into both hot and cold beverages, making it ideal for lattes, iced drinks, and smoothies. The powder dissolves completely without clumping, which makes preparation quick and easy, especially for someone who enjoys making a matcha latte every morning. We’ve also experimented with using it in baking, and the flavor holds up beautifully in cakes, cookies, and even energy balls. It adds an authentic matcha flavor without overpowering the other ingredients, providing just the right balance. The functionality of this powder extends beyond just drinks — it’s great for anyone who loves incorporating matcha into a variety of recipes. The powder itself is finely ground, ensuring it mixes seamlessly, and a little goes a long way. Its quality and versatility make it perfect for all our cooking and drink-making needs, and it’s priced well for the value you get.Overall, this matcha powder exceeds our expectations in both quality and functionality. It’s versatile, high-quality, and adds a wonderful flavor to anything it’s used in. If you enjoy matcha in your daily routine or like to bake with it, I highly recommend this product.

Delicious, versatile, healthy, and ENERGIZING!
Let me start by saying that I'm a bit of a tea snob. I've traveled around Asia and tried dozens of local and traditional teas there. I've also tried countless qualities of teas (Teavana, homemade, etc.) and middle-grade, supermarket-brand teas. I drink iced tea, black tea, hibiscus tea, mint tea, peppermint tea, etc., etc., etc. Out of all of the tea I've tried in my life, this is by far one of the most versatile, health-beneficial, and energizing teas I've ever drank. While this isn't the most delicious tea when drank on its own (its still yummy but needs a hint of sweetness to cut the slight bitterness), it's still very enjoyable. I prepare mine with an electric mixer and I LOVE how light and frothy it gets. Add in a splash of milk and a dollop of honey, and it makes an awesome latte. I can't wait to try it in recipes (i.e. protein shakes and baked goods) and in other drink forms. As a fair warning, though, it has a very earthy, grassy taste, so the taste, albeit smooth and light, may not be for everyone, especially when trying it the first time. Give it a few tries though--it'll grow on you!My favorite part about this tea is that it's almost immediately energizing after just one serving. It's an uplifting, steady kind of energy--not the "jittery" energy you get from drinking a lot of coffee. I feel more clear-minded and focused, and my mood perks up. I got my family hooked on this stuff, too, just for the energy and mood boost. It's just a great way for us to start the day. :) Combine this with all of the other healthand weight loss benefits matcha offers in the long-term, and you've got a drink that's worth drinking just for its energizing and health qualities alone. Another fair warning though: do NOT drink this at night if you plan on going to bed. I drank some at 2 pm and I couldn't fall asleep until 1 am.A few other important qualities of this particular tea: it's made in Kyoto, Japan, has been tested for radiation (there is not detectable levels), and is certified USDA organic. In conclusion, TRY THIS TEA. :) I highly recommend it.

Great stuff!
This is my first experience with Matcha, so some of what I have to say is probably common knowledge to those who drink/eat/use it regularly.I came across Matcha by accident. I was given some loose green tea as a gift, and had steeped a cup. As I was drinking it, I wound up eating one of the leaves. I didn't know if you can eat tea leaves, so I quickly did a google search, and looked on the poison control web site. I was surprised to read about the benefits of eating green tea leaves, and that there is a product (Matcha) that is high quality ground green tea. I ordered the starter pouch to give it a try.Since I started eating/drinking Matcha, I've noticed a few significant changes:1) I seem to be more alert in the morning, without having the jitters that I get from drinking coffee. I don't seem to have the mid morning crash that I used to have with coffee. I don't have to run to the bathroom every 30 minutes, like I used to with coffee.2) I was trying to loose weight, but not having a lot of success. After a week of drinking the Matcha, I have started loosing weight.3) I sleep better at night. For years, I woke at 2 or 3 in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep. This past week, I've slept through the night almost every night. The one night I did wake up, it was because of my dog, and I fell back to sleep. The description talks about the Matcha having an earthy flavor. I found it to be a lot less earthy than other green tea products I've tried. But then with Matcha, I'm using a lot less tea than steeping a regular cup.
