Incredibly versatile quality ingredient...
I have tried a few different types of miso and this has a considerably better flavour than any other I have tasted. As an ingredient, it adds a very fulfilling flavour that I imagine is the umami you hear chef's and foodie's referring to, like that almost beefy taste you get from a good mushroom, though I find it hard to find a good parallel to describe it.Miso soup is the obvious way to use this and it is very easy to make quick, fulfilling soup. With a teaspoon of this stuff, a little seaweed, spring onion and diced silken tofu (made using a dashi broth, if you want to go all out authentic) you have a quick light lunch or a delicious appetiser. However, I find it most useful to add to noodle dishes to lift the flavour of either a stir fry or, preferably, a noodle soup. This keeps in the fridge for literally ages and is something I always like to have in, for those times I fancy adding a little Japanese influence to my cooking, or just adding a little extra depth to a sauce or gravy.

Love this product
Have been using this product for years. I am ver happy with it and love to marinate chicken wings and pork belly with it. It makes nice combo with tofu and seaweed in soups. We can’t live without one.

There is no substitute
This is a proper miso with a rich depth to it, not like the bland supermarket offerings (I'm talkin' 'bout you, T*sco). As I don't have an Asian supermarket to hand it's convenient to purchase this - yes it's a bit pricey but there is no substitute for a good quality miso paste like this for using in Japanese and fusion cooking.

The best yet!
By far the best miso I've tasted, its delicious. On the expensive side but well worth it!

Good flavour, and most importantly, organic soy
I have started trying to incorporate fermented foods in my diet as a source of Vitamin K2. Miso was one of the foods which was recommended, with the caveat that it should be made from organic soy (much of the soybean crop grown in the US is genetically modified to withstand being sprayed with nasty chemicals - not what one wants!. I had not had Miso prior to buying this, so I can't compare the flavour to any other brands/varieties, but I've made a salad dressing using this (50ml Miso, 50ml olive oil, 50ml water blended) and I like it, and it doesn't contain any nasties, so it does the job nicely for me!

Tasty and pricy
Tasty and pricey. I have found way cheap and delicious options. But if I do not have them, definitely will buy this again
