Spigen Rugged Armor Nexus 6P Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Nexus 6P 2015 - Black

This case adds a superb grip to the beautifully crafted Nexus 6P device that slips out of your hand like butter on hot knife! See photos for a better idea of the cover.This is a flexible case not a hard one and is super easy to put onto the device. The colour is deep and the carbon fibre design on either ends of the case on the back adds just that much to the looks of the case. It doesn't affect the functionality of the case.The case has air pockets on the inside of the cover in the four corners by means of tiny depressions in the case itself. The way this works is for small falls that land the phone on its edge, these pockets will in theory absorb some of that impact.The cover latches onto the phone by protruding a couple of millimetres over the sides onto the front. The touch screen however is completely uncovered. If you are concerned about how it will live with a screen protector, from experience I can say that any plastic film protectors will not be a problem, however if you are looking for more protection with a glass protector, then I have currently applied  PThink® Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector  to my phone and it works perfectly with this cover. But honestly, any glass protector will be okay as long as it has curved corners and leaves at least 1 mm on each side.Once applied, personally I didn't feel that it added any unmanageable bulk to the phone. The build quality is quite sturdy and is a snug fit onto the phone itself. There are cutouts in all the appropriate places - Audio jack, Fingerprint sensor, Camera, and Charging port. As for the camera, the cover provides an adequately cut oval hole that exposes the Flash, Laser focus too, but not the whole glass. The rest is covered in that carbon fibre pattern. For the Power and Volume buttons, the cover has its own impressions that depress with a nice feedback.Although having vowed to never drop my phone again, I have a very high degree of confidence in this cover. I am a big fan of Spigen cases. Whenever I buy a new phone I tend not to go for the expensive phone manufacturers cases as they are normally over priced and not that well thought out.I have used a range of Spigen cases including the ultra hybrid, rugged armor, slim armor and neo hybrid. But I must say, this particular Spigen Rugged Armor case for the Nexus 6p is my favorite so far. But the Rugged Armor case strikes the right balance, I found the neo hybrid too bulky and I wasn't a big fan of the two part construction. For me the ultra hybrid is just too thin and I want a little more protection in case I drop my phone. The rugged armor case however gives you the best of both worlds. Single part construction and thick enough to provide ample protection without adding too much bulk.As you would expect from Spigen, the cut out locations for the camera, charging port and fingerprint sensor are spot on. The edge of the case on on the screen side of the case is raised so you do not scratch the screen when you have the phone face down on your night stand. The case does add a little bulk but for the sake of protecting such an expensive phone purchase it is more than worth it particularly for a case so well designed.I have been using the case for about 2.5 months and it is still as solid as it was when I first slotted my phone into it. There are a few marks on the back but they are only noticeable in certain angles of light.Overall Spigen has made possibly the best case in my opinion for the Nexus 6p.

I had a hybrid Spigen case for my nexus 5. It was of excellent quality but made the phone too bulky for my taste. I prefer TPU only cases for that reason as they offer all round protection without adding too much bulk. My favourite case was the Greatshield Guardian S which cost peanuts. I picked this case up for a ridiculously cheap price on amazon, bear in mind it's sold for around $15 in America. If you're reading this, don't bother looking for another case. This case is crazy VFM. I am still in shock at how good it is for the price. Anyone that's had a Spigen case before will be familiar with their quality, you can't really get better. Suffice to say the cut outs are all perfect and the material on the back feels pleasant to the touch, similar to my trusty old nexus 5. I love the carbon fibre weave design elements too. This case is easily worth a lot more.Just one more thing. I find the volume buttons placements on the 6P not to my liking as I keep accidentally pressing them, they should have been above the power button or high up on the left side of the phone as with the nexus 5. This case has fixed the problem as I can now easily use the phone without accidentally using the volume keys during normal use, they are not so sensitive and they won't be pressed unless you mean to do so.
