Great little unit
This is a great little CD and radio unit. We were going to wire it to our original speakers but it is such a good quality sound we haven't bothered. Despite one or two negative comments about no English plug, this was provided.

2-pin fuss
Why all the negative reviews about the 2-pin continental power lead? Just go and buy a ‘European visitor to UK’ adapter and all is well.

Surprisingly accomplished. DAB weak in rural areas though.
Still gets 5*. Bought through another UK supplier beginning with "A" for well under a a Cockney ton in 2018. Delivers high sound (living room) levels and runs very cool thanks to efficient and neutral class D amplifier. CD is there for legacy material and bluetooth conveys laptop/smart phone grooviness quite seemlessly. DAB circuitry struggles in rural location which is only a minor bummer as you can obviously bluetooth from an internet connected device. The speakers look MFI but deliver well even at high SPLs. I'm listening through KEF eggs and tbh would probably struggle in a blind test to separate them. Stonking performance.

Great sound but poor design
For the size and price the sound is great, no complaints there. However usability is poor. The display has a very narrow viewing angle. In order to save a few pennies on some extra buttons the navigation is impossible. Every button has several functions and everything you want to do involves a sequence of button presses.I still can't remember how to go between tuning and presets on the radio so the presets never get used.Finding songs on a USB stick is a nightmare and there's no shuffle (or it's hidden behind other functions - I haven't found it).

Fantastic value with great sound
I was looking for a micro HiFi to connect to my computer, replacing the woofer + tweeter combinations that I had always bought from the computer accessory sections of big electronics stores. My third one had given up the ghost and I was fed up with murky sound and ridiculously boomy woofers. This time, I decided to go to the music section of the store and tried several micro HiFi's. Some of the ones I looked at were double the price but the speakers were usually too big, the output way above my needs and I found the sound to be little better and often worse than this neat little system. All I want is something that will play decent music while I work, with amp and speakers that can sit in a bookcase. This Panasonic is fantastic value. It took me three minutes to pair the bluetooth link with my Macbook Pro. So, with no more cables to the laptop and irritating desktop control unit (not to mention a massive woofer on the floor), I can listen to music whether I'm plugged into the big monitor on my desk or sitting in an armchair with the laptop on my lap, (as intended?). The sound is crisp and full, from top to bottom of the spectrum and its 20W output is more than enough to fill my office with good music, from Bach & Britten to White Stripes & Led Zeppelin. Oh, and it's great for games and Skype too. The remote control is small but solidly ergonomic and, to my surprise, useful. I haven't tried the CD player properly. No, it's not aficionado HiFI but it's excellent for my needs and vastly better than any of those awful, cumbersome made-for-computer sets that pack up after 3 or 4 years.Only wish I'd done this before.PS I buy a lot from Amazon but not this item - I live abroad and the P&P from the UK would have been crazy. The local store (MediaMarkt) had a better price anyway. Just wanted to share my satisfaction with the product.
