Fun book, good quality
We love the Oi! books, so we got this as a gift for friends. Fun story and illustrations, nice quality board book. I’d consider buying it as a gift again.

Great for rhyming words
My year 1 class love Oi Frog. They enjoy the rhyme and the art style. The story is funny and has been asked for again and again. I’ve added it to our poetry unit next year as a focus on rhyming words.

Still my favourite (and those around me) from the 'Oi!' series, to date
From the back cover of the paperback version ~ 2015/Hodder & Stoughton (image below refers):🐱 ‘Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gophers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! 🐸From the award-winning KES GRAY and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, JIM FIELD.A hilarious rhyming tale about a frog who discovers that all animals have their special places to sit!’ooOooMeasuring around 24.5 cm square, the shiny finish card cover is hard to miss in a sunny yellow background, with frog apparently in his designated place...on a log...where else?Well, this is not just any old frog...this is one who begs to question as it turns out, with a twist at the end that is largely unexpected, for most! The book begins with the opportunity to claim ownership on the inside cover page.Across the colourful, matte finish, double page spreads we meet a variety of animals, all with short rhymes that stick in the mind.We start with Cat, the ‘place’ designator…Naturally in a book of this kind, the smart illustrations have more in them than first meets the eye, offering scope for further discussion, e.g. facial expressions or the headlines on the rather dapper looking hare's newspaper (image below refers). The accompanying text, which includes lots of speech and a repeat element, is clear throughout; often ENHANCED at times FOR EFFECT!

Great book
What a great book. Particularly for a small child learning rhyming. My 3 year old grandson loves it and can recite by heart. And in future will help with spelling too. It’s also a pleasure to read.
