OtterBoxDefender Series Protection Case for Apple iPhone 5/5S/SE (2016/1st Gen) - Black

This was the 5th Otterbox Defender case I'd bought, I think, and I've tried others from known and unknown brands, but Otterbox remain the best.The protection is excellent, the case keeps all the phone's functions intact including the fingerprint reader, and the rubber plugs keep fluff and dirt out of the ports really well.The only downsides are that the speakers are exposed, so eventually do get a bit of a build-up of fluff if you don't clear them out every now and then. And that the case is not immortal - it will eventually get a bit looser, and worn, and the screen starts to show signs of wear after a long time, so I expect to replace the case about every 18 months or so.But it keeps the phone near-immaculate, so the trade-off between the potential damage the phone would accumulate and buying a new case every 18-24 months is an easy one.

This is the 5th unit i have purchased in the past 6 years. I am a really heavy phone user and tend to break the belt clips. That said over a year for a clip that is used and abused daily is really good. The cases themselves rarely break, only the rubber outer sleeve wearing a little where the belt clip rubs when putting the phone in the holder. That said this is a strong durable item that has kept my I-Phone 5s safe, despite being dropped many many times over the past 6 years. - NOT CHEAP - BUT A NEW PHONE WILL COST YOU FAR MORE

As always from Otterbox, another great product. I recently purchased a new phone and stupidly bought a different case for it because I liked the look and it was a bit cheeper. Bad move. I realised as soon as I had put the new case on the phone I had made a mistake. It just didn't feel secure enough, so I went and ordered an Otterbox which is what I should have done to start with. Now I feel confident my nice new phone will be secure. I had an Otterbox Defender on my previous phone for about 3 years and it saved my phone many times. Yes it makes your phone a a bit chunkier and a bit heavier but it's worth it. What do you expect if you want great protection. The only thing I will say that I don't like is the in built screen protector. It really isn't good. I bought a hard glass protector and ripped off the plastic one that was attached to the Otterbox (I did this last time with my previous phone) and It's so much better now. The screen is much better to use and feels nicer. I can not recommend this highly enough if you want you phone to feel solid and secure. Just get rid of the screen protector and buy a hard glass one and you're good to go and rough it.

I have some sort of supernatural power - I can kill a smart phone by looking at it, the deftest touch of my fingers will ruin a screen instantly. I am the bringer of death when it comes to mobiles. This however, is like some sort of ultra exo-skeleton, but still keeps the gadget usable, you can even use the fingerprint detection thingy through the scratch resistant screen. It's a bit pricey but I was so impressed by the Otterbox for my last phone which lasted pretty well, until I dropped it in a bucket of creosote. Don't ask.

Can’t rate these phone cases highly enough. I have a 6 1/2yr old iPhone 5 which has always had a defender case on it and has been dropped down marble stairs, dropped from a horse onto concrete, run over by a large car and trailer, been dropped in mud, etc, and there’s still not a scratch on it........battery life is finally giving up but phone still looks brand new!

Fits great looks great makes the phone well protected , it does make it a little bulky feeling and slightly heavier but not a problem when it comes to how protected the phone is , would serenely recommend these cases well worth the money

These cases are great. On my second one (after a couple years the plugs to go in headphone and charger hole fell off) and when I changed it over my phone looked good as new. Purchased this one for my partner so he can also take care of his phone properly. These cases are fantastic and I 100% recommend to anyone who’s clumsy or just hard on their belongings

This is a great case, holds my iphone 5 we'll. I can touch out to the edge of the screen, so no problems using screen. It seals better than my last case which let dust in (not great when you're working with cement!)Drawbacks but not deal breakers:1.I find the covers on the ports a bit difficult to open, so I'm glad I have nails.2. The rubber at the bottom front ( below home button) is difficult to seatA great case not tested in anger though. 😊

My mother refuses to switch iPhones so we had to find her a case for her first generation iPhone. She loved the case and easy to install and durable.

Ho comprato la defender per un iPhone SE e avevo già avuto altre cover Otter in passato. Sono resistenti e progettate benissimo. Questa avvolte completamente il telefono, gli sportelli che proteggono la presa usb e il jack audio possono risultare un po’ scomodi e rallentarli ma evitano l’accumulo di polvere. In generale la custodia rende il telefono più ingombrante di circa 8mm per lato, anche in profondità.Le lamentele sul fatto che la parte anteriore della custodia ha una protezione in plastica per il touchscreen che non aderisce bene si risolvono facilmente: io ho tolto la protezione dalla custodia Otter e messo una pellicola sullo schermo (nel mio caso un vetro temprato). Funziona tutto da dio, aderenza perfetta, risposta nel touch perfetta. Se non vi scoccia che l’iphone Diventi più ingombrante questa custodia è un acquisto consigliato!

Es una excelente funda, tanto la funda como el clip están hechos en México.Si se opta por usar sin el clip, será un poco bultosa y con el tiempo se marca en el pantalón, también se irá desgastando con mayor rapidez.Ofrece muy buena protección ante caídas, y también cubre el sensor de huella para evitar que se ensucie.

Ist nicht meine erste Otterbox, und wenn ich mir die Otterbox ansehe, wenn ich mir einen Handywechsel gönne, sieht das aus wie folgt: Otterbox intakt, aber sehr stark bestoßen .... Handy ausgepackt sieht aus wie neu .... Also sofort beim Kauf eines neuen Handys eine Otterbox dazu und hinaus in den täglichen Wahnsinn , Landwirtschaft, Pferde, Reiten ... Sehr schön und er hält sogar, der vertikale Gürtelclip, immer an der Frau ...
