Good quality and robust
As you might expect from Makita, this little bit holder is sturdy and robust. When combined with a bit set, the magnetism is powerful enough to hold screws firmly in place, which when used with an impact driver, enables screws to be driven in swiftly (if you've never used an impact driver, then I suggest you google it and watch some YouTube videos, they are a fantastic invention - and in case you are in any doubt, an electric drill is no substitute for an impact driver). Whether this is any better than any other brands I cannot say, but I am very pleased with this one and have no regrets in buying it.

Well, I thought this would make things easier, and well, it did.
First off, if you work alone I would 110% recommend one of these, if you don't work alone I still recommend it.Its so easy to use and makes any screwing easy, there really strong, and so is the plastic, I've used 6x100mm wood screws with this and the magnet held that screw straight and made it possible for me to do the job I was doing alone.Which ever bit you put in the bit holder, it holds onto it really tight, unlike the cheap ones with just a magnet inside.

Brilliant for freeing up a hand. Otherwise, I'd have to borrow one.
The best thing is that this holds onto the screw so that you can, for example, hold a lamp fitting above your head with one hand, and also, hold an impact driver in the other, whilst the screw that would normally require the growth of a third hand is held by the magnet of the torsion bit holder. Some people appear to be saying that the bit is too tight to remove easily. I do not find it so, but clearly it has to be in the holder well, otherwise, it will be inclined to wobble. I think this has the balance just right.

Use it everyday
Very good product found a video on YouTube and this was on there and knew I would have to buy one. It holds the screw in place really good and the magnet is strong. Used every day

A flawed design but has its uses
I'd only recommend this holder if you're doing repeated construction work where bit swapping is minimal and precision isn't required. So building a shed, stud walls, jointing construction timber together etc. it'd be great. For more general use it isn't as effective.Cons- Bulky outer jacket makes seeing driving depth difficult and working with shorter screws frustrating- It is difficult to release the bit from the holder and often i have to resort to pliersIf it was a bit less bulky with some depth adjustment and a bit release mechanism it'd be perfect. As it is it is great for construction projects but limited use for more general woodworking.

Very good for starting screws with one hand.
The sleeve holding the ring magnet is quite tight and difficult to remove but it will loosen up with use, I already have adapted to removing it to change bits. It has a strong magnet perfect for holding a screw to start it off in the work, if precision and depth control are important consider removing the sleeve before finishing the drive as it will foul the screw and may damage the head.

Makita's name stands for itself, wanted the item for a while. The magnetic holder works well, holds the screw tight. Although found that sometimes you can't see the screw head to see if its gripped.

Great Magnet and Screw Holding Adapter
It has a great magnet and love the way it holds screws with the plastic adapter which can either be left on all the time or taken off when required.

Come avere 3 oggetti in uno, Brava Makita!
