Decent construction and versatile design
After a month of use, I am very pleased with this high chair. I bought two for my 2-year-old twins. They were easy to assemble, very sturdy, and seem to be made of high quality, durable wood. They clean up easily, and I think they are quite attractive. I love the dual-use high-chair, chair-and-table design. My only negative is the shoulder harness, which would be improved if it attached to the chair at shoulder level, because then it might help kids from slipping around on this admittedly rather slippery chair. Instead, the shoulder harness attaches to the seat, and actually seemed to exacerbate the slipping problems. But now I just leave the shoulder restraints loose and use only the lap belt, and my kids don't have any more slipping problems on this chair. I know that a separately sold seat pad is recommended for younger infants to help keep them from slipping in this chair, but my toddlers don't need the pads, and seem quite happy now that we've stopped using the shoulder harness. When my kids outgrow the high chair function, we'll remove the harness totally, and keep using them just as mini chairs and tables. They seem very, very durable, so I expect I'll be able to sell them when we are totally done and recoup a portion of my purchase price. With all of that taken into consideration, I think these high chairs are an outstanding value.Edit: I deducted one star from my review because the tray on one of the high chairs broke after 4 months of use. Specifically, the clamp that holds it onto the chair shattered into pieces--haven't had any luck working with Amazon to contact the company for a replacement part.

... this chair for our first grandson and are very pleased with it
We bought this chair for our first grandson and are very pleased with it. Assemble was quick and easy - even without the clear instructions provided.Build quality and finish are excellent and the unit is very solid and stable, yet quite compact. It is a good choice if you want something better than many of the flimsy stuff out there. The unit easily works as a stand-alone high chair with feed tray, or with the tray removed, a high chair at a normal table; a lower chair and tray, a chair and table for an older baby. The integral restraints are quite easy to use if required, simply snapping together with quick release child resistant clips. My two little quibbles are the position of the plastic rails that the removable feeding tray only allows for limited adjustments. Even for my relatively small grandson, only the largest adjustment was suitable for us. However, it was a simple matter to unscrew the retaining screws and shift the plastic rails a few centimetres forward to allow for more space between the chair back and the inner edge of the tray. The other is that the narrow footprint of the chair legs and wider feeding tray makes the chair and tray less stable on its own. However this isn't much of a problem as it is unlikely to be used on its own like that - it would either be fitted into the table where it fits very securely, or used without the tray and used for seating under its own table. I do however recommend this item as very good value for money. It should also have good resale / second use value as well

Worth every penny spent
Fast & friendly delivery. Good solid wood so it can be sanded down after a few years use. Tightening the screws were a bit tricky and it is not 100% level so has a slight wobble - nothing a small rubber foot can't sort. Very clever idea and so easy to switch between a high chair and a little table and chair. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

strong sturdy high chair
This is the perfect high chair to buy for your child as it's strong sturdy and comes with harness for safety .i brought this style of high chair for my own children over 28 years ago and yes they got plenty of use out of it as converts to chair and table for play .NOW have grand child and delighted i found this high chair and very reasonably priced suitable for 6 months on wards . I did buy padded seat that slots in side chair and the harness goes through the slots in padded chair seat for security as putting 6 month child in to start with . Hope others find this use full as it's the only design i would purchase for sturdy strong and a long term item .

Different to Amazon photos, but a great highchair.
I ordered this for my youngest son who's 7 months now. We already own one that my nearly 2 year old loves! The one I received today is quite different from the one we already own so I thought I'd post some pictures as it's not the same as the photos on amazon. It's the highchair on the right, as you can see it's smaller, the tray is smaller and the straps come through the backrest. As the seat is smaller the cushion insert seems a bit squashed with nowhere for the staps to go through the insert it looks a bit stupid. I'm sure my son will love it though, one plus point is the tray has a strap that attaches under the seat so the child can't slide out. I'm just obviously disappointed as I was hoping they would be identical as the photos on amazon suggested they would.

Just too slippy, baby keeps sliding
I thought I’d love this based on the reviews but I don’t.I was after a high chair after I no longer wanted to use my £12 bebe one as it has no foot rest. I liked that this east coast one is wood and turns into a table and chair. My main issue is that it’s just so slippy!! The wood, although feels lovely, is just too slippy on the seat, so as you can see he just slides into a slouch position. Have tried with and without the harness, but neither is good. The harness means that I can’t fasten the bibado bibs at the back either.I’m hoping as he gets bigger he’ll be able to use it without sliding. At the moment he’s 10 months, on the top centile for height and can’t reach the foot rest (which may help with the sliding). Also annoying cleaning out the bits of food that fall down the side cracks. I had to fold up paper and poke the old food through to clean. So overall, I’m unhappy. Will have to buy another similar to my old one but with footrest. They are so easy to clean. Even the harness straps are removable and washable.
