WHAT IS IT FOR?To reduce the symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis or flat feet and similar disorders, by supporting your arches (lifting them slightly). Do you need them?A medical professional might tell you that you need them, or you might decide for yourself based on symptoms that you can find online. I am not a medical professional, but when I tried arch supports my feet and ankles and knees quickly became a lot less painful and I stopped developing corns. A female relative had serious pain in her ankles after walking just a few yards. She was advised to get arch supports by an orthopaedic nurse (and me) and now she can walk for a mile or two with minimal discomfort.I know it sounds like magic, but arch supports can stop your feet leaning inwards (overpronation) - if that is what's wrong, they can help put it right! Finally: These aren't a cure for Plantar Fasciitis, but my symptoms are greatly reduced now, so I can wear shoes without supports for a while without regretting it. But I still need to return to supports.IN THE BOX* Two pairs of SZDKXCKJ Clear Gel Arch Supports (inserts), one for Left and one for RightINSTALLING1: Do a bit of research so you know where to put them in your shoes! They're supposed to support your arches, sounds obvious, but at least have a look online. You can see where I placed mine in my photos.2: Clean any fluff from inside your shoes where you're going to stick them. Open them up so they'll be really easy to put on.3: Peel the plastic off the R insert and stick it down in your Right shoe, press it down by hand4: Peel the plastic off the L insert and stick it down in your Left shoe, press it down by hand5: Put your shoes on, being careful not to dislodge the inserts (that's why you opened them up in step 2)6: Now press down on your inserts by walking around for a few minutesUSINGYou'll probably feet a bit odd walking around for a few days, as your legs adapt. I found I could only tolerate the sensation for a few hours at a time initially, so be prepared to swap shoes around and/or take the weight off at intervals. You should see improvements in your symptoms within a few days. If you don't, or if you feel worse, stop!Full Disclosure: I started using arch supports several years ago, so I wasn't expecting any improvement from using these new inserts - they just meant I now have another two pairs of shoes with inserts in. They work fine!BEST BITS+ Inexpensive+ Quick and easy to install+ Transparent, nearly invisible+ Can be used with almost any type of shoe (including open shoes like sandals) unlike full-size insoles+ More hygienic than the typical porous plastic insoleWORST BITS- You have to position them by eye; full-size insoles are positioned automatically by the shoe- They're glued into place; you can't swap them between different pairs of shoes- They're glued into place; if they start to move, you'll need to re-fix themNote that full-size insoles don't have any of these issues.CONCLUSIONThese SZDKXCKJ Clear Gel Arch Supports are a neat and easy way to improve arch support and - potentially - correct problems caused with your feet and ankles and knees caused by overpronation. Full-size insoles are a bit better for conventional shoes, but these are cheaper and better for open shoes like sandals and mules. Four stars
