Not just for car's!!!
With the start of the gardening season around the corner February is when I start to think about getting the gardening tools ready for use.The petrol powered tools such as chainsaw, hedge cutter, lawnmower and pressure washer all get a small does of red ex mixed with some petrol. Then I run them till they cut out.It seems to help keep the carburettors clean and helps shift any gum that might have accumulated over the winter.Be caution on 2 stroke products as I would imagine it would have an impact on how well the oil can lubricate the bore and piston, so with the 2 stroke's I just let them idle till the fuel runs out. And in terms of fuel its only enough to just fill slightly more than the bowl of the carb.Been doing this for year and keeps the engines in tip top condition and ensures even after been in the shed for 6 months most start on the first or second pull.Its still worth ensure that you store your tools with no fuel as this new fuel on the market isn't great with the ethanol content. But I still think that this helps too!

Cheap effectative prevetative maintenance fo your engine
I put half of this in a full tank of 10 litres in my Royal Alloy GP300 after some minor starting issues when the engine was hot. The scooter does appear to be running very smoothly and it seems to have resolved the starting problem when the engine is hot. The scooter is 6 years old so cleaning the fuel system, especially the injectors can only be a good thing. I will continue to use Redex by putting half a bottle in twice a year as a preventative measure. Great product.

Easy to use, good for routine engine maintenance
I’ve started using this every so often as part of general car maintenance, mainly to keep things running smoothly. It’s really simple — just pour it into the fuel tank before filling up, no hassle at all.It’s hard to measure exact results, but after a couple of uses the engine feels a bit smoother, especially on longer drives. Might also be helping with fuel efficiency, though that’s always tricky to judge.I like that it’s suitable for hybrids too, which is a plus.Not a miracle fix, but a decent preventative product to help keep the fuel system clean over time.
