Steam cleaning good. Morphy Richards baf
I was sceptical about steam cleaning before I was given this. I am now a convert to steam cleaning but I will never buy anything made or marketed by Morphy Richards again. This feels like it was designed to win a prize for the worst possible design of steam cleaner, possibly for some sort of prank show.Nothing is stable. It's almost impossible to get it to stand upright on its own. The water tanks cannot be put on a flat surface to fill them. The spares shortage started long before covid could be used as an excuse. And when I say spares I really mean consumables. There is no brass brush. The nylon brush was completely flattened after two or three uses. The floor steamer only comes with one stick on cloth and this starts to curl up so it's impossible to attach properly after a couple of washes. The sticky pads it attaches to need to be kept spotlessly clean in order to work.It is heavy to use - no one's thought through where the centre of gravity should be to make it balance well when full. This may be a feature of all steam cleaners. Whenever you see them advertised they are always being operated by fit young men. A separate water tank that feeds to the handheld part would be much easier to use. However steam cleaning is impressive at cleaning up built up filth in no time with relatively little effort, especially if it's grease based as the grease just melts. There are a lot of limitations to where it can be used as the steam will take the varnish off wood and has warped my kitchen cupboard doors.I would question claims that it's safer around children and pets. Scalding can be very dangerous. The contact time to kill germs is 10 seconds. That means you need to hold it over every area for 10 seconds to kill germs. This would make cleaning any significant area with steam alone a monumental task.

Genuine well made bargain that’s perfectly fit for use!
Absolutely wonderful and for a fresh all day scent use with a cap full of Zoflora scented disinfectant! , use in mattresses, hung duvets, windows, cookers, floors, door handles, entires bathroom and anywhere else you can think of! Also a great duster! You only get one small and one large cloth covet but you can pick up spares quite cheap on Amazon. The handheld detachment is also great for the car. Granted the mead does reach all round the downstairs or full floor of the house but an extension lead wrapped up and plugged in where you need it is no hardship. This is great, no more streaky floors or residue left over! I’ll never go back to a mop and bucket again! I’m disabled with a spine injury and I can use this perfectly well. We’re a family of 5 and we’ve noticed a massive difference in cleanliness and dust. Thank you Amazon, another actual genuine well made bargain!

Useful product, sturdy and the double tanks are a godsend for big jobs
Mainly for floors but came in very handy to remove paint and dried in gunge from glass. The triangular pad doesn’t work well on surfaces that are less than smooth; I have honed stone tiles in my kitchen as opposed to polished so there is an element of dragging and lifting and moving going on as the pad gets rolled up underneath the steamer head when used in upright mode. The handheld is just light enough to be able to work well between waist and shoulder height but up high requires a wee bit effort.

Good but not life changing
Great for general floor cleaning, not so strong on anything more engrained or stained. You’d still need detergent to manually get that up.It is also quite heavy to use, and because the handle has the ‘back saving’ flex then it’s actually not that robust meaning I tend to have to hold the main middle section where the weight sits to save it feeling like either the handle will snap or that I’m not really putting much pressure on the floor!

Not robust
Handle has just brocken on this steam cleaner having been using it for less than a year. Machine is quite heavy and not very manoeuvrable and I have worried about how robust the handle was and today , whilst cleaning a small area of Lino which had a stubborn stain so applied reasonable pressure and the handle just snapped where it joins the base.

Sorry I purchased.
I bought this after having to return a cheap supermarket purchase of a different make which packed up after a few uses. I'm a bit disappointed really. It's quite heavy to maneuver, it doesn't stand up unassisted and to be frank it isn't cleaning my floors very well. Yesterday after cleaning with the steamer I spilt milk on the floor and wiped it up with a damp cloth... my cloth was filthy. :( Might try a different type of cloth if they have one avail.

Very short cable with this one!
First impressions - Seems to do what it should but the power cable is much too short - less then 5 metres- to be any use except in small rooms. I bought this to replace a Vax steam mop that had a far longer cable. I'm going to have to permanently use it with an extension cable or keep plugging and unplugging as I move from room to room. I would definitely not have bought it had I known how short the cable is. Also, it doesn't have a dummy socket to park the 13A plug when not in use.

Heavy and cumbersome
This steam cleaner does the job. The triangular shaped head allows it to get into corners. The cable is long enough and the water tank has a decent capacity. However on the minus side it is a very awkward and cumbersome piece of kit. It is quite difficult to maintain pressure on the steam trigger whilst pushing the mop around and can lead to discomfort in the hand and wrist. The trigger has to be fully depressed and the slightest reduction on pressure causes the steam to switch off.
