Excellent value and performance.
My previous dust extractor stopped working and whilst it can be fixed I needed a quick solution. This unit is both lightweight and convenient in size - good performance and overall excellent value for money.I saw a review which said as Amazon was not a Record products dealer the guarantee was worthless - I had no problem in going online and registering for the 5 year guarantee and confirmed this over the phone as well...Only downside of the unit is that it is on the noisy side but really - If you are using this with machinery you should have ear protection on anyway. The unit easily clears dust and chippings from both my planer and router (set up on a table) - both of which produce copious amounts of waste material.Spare filter bags come with the unit - I would suggest getting a spare main filter to keep in stock though.Although I marked 3 stars on noise, value for money gives it a five star in my opinion.

Perfect
Perfect. Has good suction and does the job. Used with multiple machines and blast gates with no issue. Yes it’s noisy, but that is expected so still 5*

Whines like Greta at a Monster Truck Rally
Great suction. I use it with my planer thicknesser. That is probably my quietest tool in the workshop which probably makes this seem even louder. But its not just the volume, its the high pitch which rattles at your fillings! At the end of the day though, I like it. I wear ear protection which helps and it does an excellent job of removing the chips. Just be aware, that high pitch wailing is annoying.

Good but a bit noisy
Could do with adapter for smaller hose from vac, other wise very good

Suction is to good
The suction on this is to good for the size of the base it pulls the extraction pipe off the tool you’re using or the pipe is to short I guess

Excellent extractor for the money
An excellent extractor for the money. A bit on the noisy side but very powerful and efficient, great for the hobbyist like myself.

Good for small workshop.
I have a small workshop and have run the DX 1000 for around 8 months. I had a bit of an issue with the 100mm hose which split in several places within the first 6 months. I contacted the guys at Record who sorted this for me straight away. Excellent customer service, I was informed that the tube was under guarantee and they sent out a new one within a few days. The new one was of a different type, double layered and much stronger. I have read some reviews that have mentioned the noise level, I have found it a bit noisier than I would have liked, also found keeping a clean bag around the filter does help a bit. It has good performance. I mainly use DX 1000 in conjunction with my planer/thicknesser and my bench sander, it has great suction and easily clears saw dust and chippings.
