What is the difference between this travel version and the normal version?

The travel version has very small light tiles, contained in a zipped pouch. The game is exactly the same rules etc.

The dimensions advertised on Amazon seem large for a travel product (in fact larger than those advertised for the normal version!). Whats the size?

Tiles in travel version are much smaller than full size. Approx one quarter of full size version - 19mm square for travel version compared to 32mm for full size version. Also, the travel version comes in a very attractive travel bag. Only thing is the smaller tiles not as robust as full size ones, so extra care needed when handling them. Both sizes made of wood, but travel tiles not as thick. Hope this is helpful

Is this game Ideal for a disabled person who has had a stroke

This depends very much on how the stroke has affected the individual. If they are able to recognise and distinguish different colours and shapes, then it should be okay. The tiles are quite small and so dexterity in one hand is needed. It is a sort of cross between scrabble and dominoes but using colour and shapes.

Want to purchase for my son who is blind,are the shapes slightly raised or just printed on? Thanks.

Unfortunately they are just printed so in this instance they would not work for your son. Maybe this could be an opportunity to contact the company for future redesign of a great game.
