Vastu: Breathing Life into Space

All of Dr. Svoboda's books are filled with deep wisdom brought forth through direct teacher-student relationship, study of the texts, and experience. This book is no exception, and could probably be his best book yet on Vedic sciences in general (Ayurveda, Jyotisham). Vastu: Breathing Life into Space is the only book of its kind in Vastu shastra literature.Dr. Svoboda transcends the many lists of rules and other injunctions (which are included but communicated in a digestible manner), and instead focuses on sensitizing the reader via the true understanding of space and its qualities (the elements). I highly recommend this book be the first to read if you want to learn the art and science of Vastu. It incorporates Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedic Astrology with practical examples both ancient and modern, with the clear intention of harmonizing human culture with the environment, so that it may be at Peace with itself and all life.

Vastu is a great for those who love space but don't have any background in how to flow in space with furniture, color or objects filling the space. The book allows you to place yourself in your space to listen in it, to feel it, to be with it. Robert E Svoboda is a great writer the other book I am currently and always reading is greatness of Saturn. If you are a practitioner of Ayurveda and learning about subtle energy these are great knowledge that translates from the Vedas

Kinda boring- I never got though it.

Robert Svoboda does it again. This is an amazingly dense yet very readable treatise on Vaastu. You will learn so much. Svoboda makes clear the background and periphery that are essential to understanding and correctly utilizing the principles of Vaastu. A must-have for any serious student or practitioner.

Whether it it's astrology, ayurveda, vastu or the more anecdotal information you can pick up from the Aghora trilogy, reading the works of Dr. Svoboda is a worthwhile undertaking.

I have many books on Vastu, but Dr. Svoboda added dimensions of understanding that are not present in other books, as well as common sense.

I've read all of Svoboda's books and this again meets with excellence. He throughly covers the topic and fits well with the other books on Vastu.

I have been a fan of Svoboda's writings. His previous books (Light On Life, Prakriti, Aghora Trilogy) were stellar. But Svoboda seems to have lost his touch with this one. For example, Light on Life and Parkriti are dense with information, and are very interesting to read. But he rambles way too much in this one. That is not to say this is a bad book.It is still a good primer on Vaastu. It is also great to see that he emphasizes the subtle aspects of Vaastu. There is lot of mention of spiritual practices to develop greater perception for the auspiciousness of the space, rather than just blindly following dry rules about directions and orientations of the house. But the bar was set rather high due to his previous works, hence the disappointment.

Loved this book, very detailed and clarity on the topic is amazing, Dr. Robert svoboda is a great writer and his books are always with indepth knowledge. This book is a must read if you want to have a deep knowledge about vastu in a simplified way and not to complicated for a layman to understand it.All the credit definitely goes to the master Aghori Vimalananda, only because of him this knowledge of vastu was transferred to Dr. R Svoboda, Vimalananda had a thorough and indepth knowledge on any given topic you name it he had it on him. All books written by Dr. R Svoboda are worth it, quality wise, and also value for money.

All books of Robert E Svoboda are simply awesome. This one is definitely worth owning.

Warning! This is not a book for a quick-fix for Vaastu. For that, there are better options. Any book that Dr Svoboda writes, he always takes a holistic process, connecting all the microcosms to the ultimate macrocosm. Only if you have the time & intent, to dive deep into the knowledge of Vaastu and space, as a whole, surely you can go for this book.
