Very functional heater
I bought this as as gift for my mum. She suffers from osteoarthritis and feels the chill more in her lower half of her body. She usually warms up with a bog-standard £10 fan heater which she has to manually switch on and off. I was attracted to this heater as it was remotely controlled, has a thermostat which could be set at a particular temp, can rotate if need be and as its ceramic, won't cost the earth to run. Needless to say, my mum was so pleased with it. She was constantly worried about her usual brand being left on or burning out but with this one, she is able to set a timer for how long she wants it to run. Best of all, the remote control has allowed her to control it without getting up so often. Also the price wasn't astronomical as it is for some popular brands and the footprint of the heater is small unlike the towers you can buy. In terms of heating, it's pretty good and has 3 heat settings to how fast you want to heat your area up. It also has a cool fan so will be valuable if we have a warm summer. All in all, I'm happy that I've bought my mum something that she can can use.

GOOD BUILD QUALITY, LOOKS GOOD!
Nice looking product, good controls on the heater body, duplicated by a neat remote. Not the quietist at max performance but acceptable. Good heat output & reciprocating action. Pity there isn't a stowage point on the machine for the remote. Good product.

Fantastic Heater Now That I know How To Get It Working Again
This is the best fan heater I've used - it has great features, the remote control is fantastic and the temperature setting is great.Unfortunately, it keeps breaking! My fifth heater (fourth replacement) all failed within 2 months of use. This last one was inactive over the summer and has now again failed.I will call Delonghi to ask if this was a bad batch, or if the heater is fundamentally broken.EDIT: I have called Delonghi. The problem is caused by the tip-over switch being activated by rising, and then not coming down. This is a designed safety feature, and can be fixed simply by shaking the fan up and down.Others experiencing this problem ought to try this before returning the product. Fantastic heater, now that it works!

a great fan heater but suffers from an over zealous anti tilt mechanism which is annoying
hmmmm it's quite good.... but has one very very annoying feature!! and it seems like a lot of people have discovered this too!!!. The anti tilt power cut off seems to kick in way way to easily thus turning the fan heater off for a short period of time. The heater is just stood upright on my carpet and is in no way at an angle or slope. This caught me out as it came back on whilst I was downstairs and was on for ages! a complete waste of energy and also very dangerous.... oh and the room was very hot !!! I have to pull the plug out and let it reset before it randomly decides to do this again...... after I have finished using it which is usually after having a shower I make sure the heater is unplugged!!

Exellent
I've been looking for a decent heater for ages, this one works great, a little on the noisy side, but kicks out lots of heat, the thermostat, & remote control are an added bonus, I would recommend this heater to anyone, great for the price.

Small but powerful.
Well designed, compact heater. As it is approaching autumn I have only used the heater but it is more than adequate for my needs as it also blows hot air as a consequence warms the room within minutes.2nd July 2016.This is an update. As you can see I have had this for just over 6 months and it's now going wrong. It stops and starts without warning, will not react to the remote.Leave off for several hours and it will work for a while and then stop again.Fortunately I don't have to use it too often at this time of the year but come the winter ????BE WARNED.

VALUE FOR MONEY
We love it. It''s small, smart and generates several ranges of heat. The remote control is very, very useful. At the moment we have it in our kitchen but is equally useful and compact to be situated in most rooms. An excellent buy for the price.

FAN HEATER TOO NOISY
I PURCHASED THIS FAN HEATER BECAUSE THE ADVERT STATED IT WAS VERY QUIET WITH A QUIET MODE SETTING ON LOW HEAT OUTPUT. DON'T BELIEVE THIS, IT IS VERY NOISY.I HAVE SEVERAL FAN HEATERS UP TO 2.8 KW ALL COSTING UNDER £30, AND THE 800W SETTING ON THIS DELONGHI IS ABOUT THE SAME NOISE LEVEL AS THE OTHERS ON MAX OUTPUT. ON MIDDLE HEAT AND MAX HEAT OF 2.2 KW IT IS SO NOISY MY WIFE AND I ARE UNABLE TO HEAR THE TV WITHOUT TURNING THE VOLUME UP.SO FOR £95 IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL, ITS ONLY ATTRIBUTE. THE FAN HEATER IS LARGER THAN ALL THE OTHER HEATERS I HAVE.I WOULD NEVER HAVE PURCHASED IT IF THE SALES LITERATURE HAD BEEN HONEST, AND NOW THAT I HAVE USED IT FOR 20 MINUTES OR SO I CAN'T RETURN IT.IF YOU WANT A QUIET FAN HEATER, DON'T BUY THIS ONE.THERE PROBABLY ISN'T A QUIET FAN HEATER OUT THERE NOWADAYS, BUT I RECALL ONE FROM MY YOUNGER DAYS THAT HAD THREE FAN SPEEDS FOR THREE HEAT OUTPUTS. ON MINIMUM 1 KW IS WAS VERY QUIET, AND CONSIDERABLY QUIETER THAN THIS DELONGHI!
