One of the best 1080p Freesync monitors around.
What can I say? This monitor is simply perfect for someone on a budget (not a tight one) and is looking to stay on or going to 1080p. I currently don't have a GPU capable of doing over 100FPS on a 1440p monitor, so this one was perfect for that. With features like 1ms 144hz with a Freesync range of 30-144hz it was very hard to pass up. The first thing I did after connecting the monitor using HDMI (120 hz) was test for dead pixels, as some people from Amazon.com reported stuck or dead pixels. Fortunately there were none. The buttons are quite stiff and the UI for picture adjustment is a little clunky, though I did manage to find the colour and brightness balance I was looking for (with help from PCPer review of the monitor), and even though this is a TN monitor it has some of the best viewing angles, and pretty decent colour.I currently have a AMD 7870XT and It doesn't support Freesync, though I will get a card soon that does. I did however notice a big difference in just using the monitor at 120Hz, especially when moving the mouse, and playing games like Battlefield 3 and 4. I had to turn down the settings to around high/medium to get over 100 FPS but the difference was huge. Where I would struggle with sniping, 120FPS give you easier acquisition and it seems that you are faster than everyone else (except for others on 120hz) and it seems like you can target faster. The stand was easy enough to assemble, but if I had one gripe about this setup, is the stand. Though the stand is solid, and metal plated at the bottom, with rubber feet to stop if from sliding and the base plate is heavy and stable. However It is pretty stiff to tilt up and down, or pretty much in any direction, and the height adjustment is a little awkward since you have to press and hold a button to change the height. I don't want a stand that will move at a slight touch, but this one is REALLY stiff. I think the top and bottom of the monitors plastic has warped a little because of the force you have to put in to actually tilt the monitor up or down, I can even hear everything creaking because of it.Just to feel the difference I hooked up my old Acer 60 Hz monitor and I could immediately feel the difference. 120/144Hz really is the new benchmark for FPS gaming. I used to be sceptical myself about the allure of 120/144Hz, but now I get it, it's just so much smoother and quicker. To those who think the human eye can only see 24fps, 24FPS is the lowest possible FPS where the human eye can see smooth (ish) motion. The human eye can see up to 1000FPS and the brain can in turn interpret at least 300FPS. Think about that before deciding, 120/144Hz is easily seen by the human eye.In conclusion I'd have to give this Monitor a 4/5 simply because of the stiffness of the stand, if the stand was smoother, I would have definitely given it a 5 as the screen itself is very, very good. As it stands (no pun intended) I am kind of scared I might break the monitor every time I tilt it a little, or move it side ways. Besides the height adjuster being slightly awkward, it is a little easier to adjust than tilting. I have yet to test out the Freesync feature, though I am confident that it will work as intended, as Nixeus has done a good job on the rest of the screen performance wise.I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper Freesync monitor which is possibly one of the best 1080p Freesync 1ms 144Hz monitors out there right now, look no further.Screen - 5/5Stand - 3/5Total - 4/5

Dead pixels...
I ordered two of these gaming monitors and both were delivered with dead pixels. Both! I did return them but other than that dead pixels the tnt panel was of ok quality but not of a gaming standard. Spending money on a gaming pc and using this panel is not worth it due to the poor colours on display.Compared to the Acer line up this product is very basic. Although the adjustable base was quiet well thoughout.Hope this helps someone :-)

Freesync is amazing!
Ok, first off, this monitor already has a very nice technical review (google "pcper Nixeus review 144hz" - Amazon won't let me link) so, instead of focusing on aspects of the monitor that I truthfully don't understand that well myself, I will try to address the areas that I found most important when I was shopping for a new gaming monitor!*1080p* - This resolution is perfectly fine for 24" and lower monitors! If you choose a larger screen size at this resolution, the pixels will be much more noticeable and you will likely regret your choice. Also, 24" is a great size for competitive gaming. 27"+ is like sitting in the front row of a movie theater.. you have to move your head around WAY too much to see what's going on in a game and this could get you killed! Sure, you could set the monitor further from you, but then doesn't that defeat the purpose of a larger screen? I could totally see someone wanting a 27" monitor for video/picture editing, work, or even watching movies, but I couldn't ever see myself gaming on one. Personal preference, please don't hate me 27" lovers!Oh, and one more thing: At 1080p, you will be rocking much higher framerates than 1440p, and this will allow you to take advantage of that extremely high 144hz! Can you tell a difference between 60 fps and 144? YES. Don't believe the lies! 60 fps is enough, but 144 is HEAVEN.Use the money you save from going Freesync (over Gsync) to upgrade to a faster video card so that you can really push your framerate hard. Or go higher resolution and lower fps, I don't care! But I can happily say that I have no regrets, and buyers remorse was my biggest fear.*TN Panel* - Yes, I too wanted a beautiful IPS screen. But the truth is, the colors/viewing angles on this monitor are fine (certainly not as good as IPS), but most importantly, the response time on this Nixeus is super fast and the difference is discernable in FPS titles. Note: overdrive works on this panel!*Freesync* - OMG, this technology was IN NO WAY overhyped! I feel as if I'm a kid again and playing on my old CRT monitor. Input lag is GONE, there is NO screen tearing (between 30-144fps), and everything feels liquid smooth at 144hz. Motion clarity on this monitor is also very impressive.*Aesthetics* - I'll be honest, the biggest thing that initially kept me from buying this monitor, besides it having very few reviews at the time, was that it looked somewhat ugly in the pictures. Well, it may not win any awards for appearance, but it certainly doesn't look bad in the lighting at my house and the matt-finish does a great job of preventing distracting shine. My concerns over its appearance are gone.Basically, if I had to sum up this monitor, I would say that it feels like it was built specifically to target FPS/racing/high-action gamers that aren't rich, and for me, it totally delivers! Finally someone is offering a Freesync monitor at a reasonable price. If you are like me and can't wait any longer, know that you will be getting a product that won't likely disappoint you. However, if you want to hold out longer, have no fear, there is no way that something this amazing (Adaptive sync) won't make its way into many more monitors in the future.Note: I contacted Nixeus tech support through email about an issue I was having and they got back to me quickly with a solution. This is a very good sign, as I was worried that a company I've never heard of might have bad tech support. Keep it up Nixeus!PS: This monitor is the one with the heavy duty stand; it is very adjustable and rock solid. I'm not sure why the more expensive version (currently $329.99) has the cheap, non-adjustable stand, but be careful when making your purchase and avoid the model number with the 'b' at the end. This is the "NX-VUE24A". I wonder if they made a mistake with pricing? =]PPS: Sorry about the layout of this review (more like Freesync-praising gibberish!), but I need to get back to my games.Oh, and if you do decide to buy this monitor, make sure to check out that review that I mentioned at the top of this post (sorry, Amazon won't let me link to it..). It contains a calibration profile that worked great for me and solved my gamma issue. Most of us don't have access to a colorimeter, so this may save you some time/money!

Almost perfect!
I was probably the last guy to switch from CRT to LCD because of the refresh rate thing. And when I did years ago, I first got a 120hz monitor and have been using it ever since. Turning V-sync off and adjusting my games' settings so that I can max out my frames per second, I was able to get 120 frames constantly in most games. And capping it with riva tuner or via the game setting at 120 fps, I was able to sync my refresh rate with my frames by forcing them both to the max of 120. This was and still is a very, very good solution to combat stuttering and to have an easy-on-the-eyes, and pleasurable gaming experience. The speed of an opponent running across the screen made it easy to hit lead shots in first person shooters because the movement was so clear and it was easy for your eyes to calculate. So with that solution, I really didn't have a need to try a freesync monitor. But since my 120hz monitor has faded and become unusable, I finally had to get a replacement and decided to try freesync. No longer do I have to adjust my settings to low or medium to max my frames to my monitors refresh rate! Playing Battlefront on High settings I get around 80-100 on Endor with a 1920x1080 resolution. And omg, it's like playing at 120 fps with a 120 hz monitor except that when the frames drop no stuttering is experienced and you can't even tell the frames dropped because the animation is so smooth in games like Battlefront with Freesync enabled.Other Pros:-It's a very clean build of a monitor and the black mat finish is much appreciated and very refreshing after using a monitor for years with a shiny bezel.-Freesync is almost flawless and makes it so it looks like v-sync while running at changing frames rates (that's it's job--to change it's refresh rate variably based on the frames the gpu is producing. But this is without input lag. It is EXTREMELY minimal and you won't notice a difference in this department. Professional gamers will have to agree after trying it.-Customer Support is amazing at Nixeus. Although they have a policy with whether or not a pixel is considered a defect or not based on where the broken pixel is on the screen. If it's not in the center, there has to be more than two or three broken pixels to be considered defective. They are clear about it on the website. And when I contacted them, they were very courteous when explaining the policy and assured me they would replace my monitor. They really went above and beyond to satisfy me. Otherwise, I would do as normal and just return the monitor to the seller for a replacement and let the seller handle the manufacturer. This is standard operating procedure, imo, for most computer parts. However, Nixeus seems to want to take ownership of their customers themselves and, in my case, they have stepped in front of the seller to help me with my issue. Strange of a manufacturer but very respectable and I've appreciated the effort they've put forth to please me as a customer. They are making the replacement of the defective monitor very easy for me and I can't express how much it means to me. I really love this monitor and seeing a broken pixel a couple days after using it really killed my buzz.-I now want to buy more! After adding this monitor to a system that I just upgraded the graphics card on, I realized that it can handle a lot more resolution. And with Freesync, the framerate is not too much of an issue. So now, I can try a 3 monitor setup! I never thought to try it before because I knew the framerates would only bug me and make my eyes water. But now, with Freesync and this affordable monitor, I can try a 3 monitor setup with AMD's eyefinity! And with Nixeus, I'll have assurance that if anything happens, they'll definitely have my back!Cons: (not really or it would've affecting my rating)-I do notice the 'washed' color that some customers remarked about. If you are a IPS panel guy and gaming is not your priority, then you may be disappointed with the color on this monitor. However, I really like this display. The color is fine with the right settings and contrast is perfect, imo. White is white and black is black.-mine had a broken pixel, but I guess this is a possibility with an monitor out there. but having Nixeus' customer support around, you can be assured they'll make you happy.-adjusting the color temperature is real chore.. you'll see. it's not very fluid and it's clunky. by that, I mean it is tedious and you'll find that you've likely worked with a more user-friendly UI in the past.-it comes with a displayport cable which is needed for Freesync making you think you don't need to buy one when you get this monitor but you may have to because the one included is very short, like 3-5 feet or so.

Love it,
Arrived with 1 seemingly dead pixel, gently pushed on it and then it was gone, forever.Pro's~I've had it for over 3 months with zero problems..~Heavy duty durable stand with the ergo (A) model.~Surprising viewing angles.~Pretty decent color when calibrated! (Seemed dull at first, thought maybe i just got used to it, but friend with IPS says it looks pretty dang good)~Freesync works very well.~Freesync's compatible "minimum" fps of 30, is actually fairly low in comparison to some other monitors. And If your jumping around that "minimum", it may look noticeably bad or even unplayable .~Optional 60, 120, and 144hz refresh with display-port (haven't tried hdmi)~Overdrive is very nice, (currently keeping mine at median)Cons~OSD is ok, But the buttons are spaced about 3/4's an inch apart, make them difficult to use and navigate with (personally)The following may be common with many monitors, and I apologize if it's just my personal ignorance.~It took me quite awhile to get this calibrated (2 months), kept on playing with it till finally satisfied and am now, truly satisfied.~Changing the refresh rate causes me to change other display settings due to the Brightness/Contrast differences.~ Either Windows 10, the Gfx card, or the monitor would not allow for nixeus to be 144 hz while my 60hz dell was plugged in via dvi, this occurred a few months ago near purchase date and i haven't tried since. But even with the dell shut off in windows and unplugged from the wall, The Nixeus remained stubborn acting strange and refusing 144hz. This led me to believe that it could be the graphics cards' inability to speak at 2 different frequencies.I'll update if I happen to pursue the answer to this..Overall: I'm very happy with this purchase,And most likely, all Quake Champions' players will be in for it with this revolutionary weapon at my disposal.. Muaha!

Good performance, great price. Probably the best deal available for 144hz Freesync
The TN Panel has some issues with viewing comfort for day to day functions, but for performance computing it is fantastic. If you are using this as your only monitor, I would recommend against it, as the harsh whites and strong backlight generate eye fatigue rapidly. Browsing the internet can be uncomfortable, and getting the lighting right on video takes some finagling depending on the source. That being said- this is a GAMING monitor, and boy does it do that well. The washed out websites turn into sharp detail and buttery smooth movement. I picked this up due to a love for R6 Siege, where every milisecond counts and it is up to the task.I would give this a 3 in a blind test, but to be able to pick up a freesync 144 hz monitor at this price is absolutely phenomenal.

Amazing Gaming experience. very good build quality. Gaming now feels as beautiful as it looks
I bought this monitor because it was the cheapest freesync monitor and i wanted to try out the technology. i was skeptical about it until i tried it. first of all the monitor is very well built and having multi inputs means i can use my consoles as well.the stand is awesome and sturdy and feels well built.i run 2 x 290X which is too much for 1080p but comparing gaming on this to my korean monitor, games feels so much smoother , so much steadier , and much more responsive. I can feel the input lag difference and my cs go performance got way way better.Coming from an IPS it felt weird at first then i got used to it. the desktop felt weird but the games colors are very nice. I love the Matte finish on the monitor because reflective monitors feel cheap. this one just feels like a premium product.I had nightmares before running FarCry 3 and 4 and suddenly both games doesn't stutter at all and gameplay is so smooth.I can't really describe it but gaming is a joy on this beautiful monitor. If you want the competitive edge in gaming, this snappy monitor will represent your reactions with no lag at all. A purchase i'll never regret.

Great Monitor, Odd Stuck Pixel However
This monitor is pretty great, the stand has all the functionality I need. I can swivel it, raise and lower it, and tilt it (although tilting is a little difficult). The stand was a little difficult for me to assemble, the screws are rather short, but with some work they went in. Only took ten minutes. The box came with the monitor, base and stand, Display Port cable, power cable and AC adapter, instructions, and the required hardware to assemble.I had heard just how much better 144hz felt but I never really had and opportunity to try it out until I got this monitor. 144hz is incredible! Played around in a few titles and the ones that allowed me to go past 60hz felt great. 60hz felt sluggish after only a few hours on this monitor. If you want a fairly inexpensive 144hz 1080p monitor with Adaptive Sync I don't think you could go wrong with this one.Had a few issues however. As mentioned earlier the screws gave me a few issues, it was difficult to get them started. Also, my panel came with a stuck pixel. I spent a few hours trying to fix it using some on screen tools to no avail. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to appear on most screens, or at least it isn't very visible, and it's at the edge of my screen. Still taking a star off for it though. Also, it's not too big of an issue for me but some might find the AC adapter a pain.

Updated review
I originally ordered one of these monitors and it arrived with a few dead pixels. After reviewing the monitor i was immediately contacted by nixeus and offered a replacement panel. The new panel arrived a few days later and its pixel perfect. Fantastic customer service. As for the panel itself, Its very nice. The mount is great and allows a lot of adjustments. The freesync works as expected and can be tested with the amd windmill tool. With this panel having the widest range of adaptive sync on the market from 30-144hz i've experienced zero screen tearing in games. This may be a tn panel but sitting next to my other tn panels this one is significantly better, crisper and brighter. All in all i am satisfied with my purchase. Thanks to the great customer support i received i will most likely be doing business with nixeus again.Matt.

Will it last
I got the monitor and got it set up and color was great out of the box. Set up the Radeon drivers for 144hz freesync and everything worked. 3 years later the monitor for unknown reasons suddenly without warning lost it ability to display a coherent picture. I treid the dvi input and the hdmi input and it was the same. My old Dell Ultrabright is now being used again and it is 12 years old. It still works fine. This monitor only lasted a little over 3 years doing basically the same thing each day. Cannot recommend a product that does not last. The price has also gone up for some reason and it isn't worth the price it at now.

Awesome monitor. It all comes down to personal preference
Awesome monitor. It all comes down to personal preference, but I believe that I enjoy 1080p @ 144hz w/freesync better than I enjoy 4k @ 60hz right now. That might change as video cards become better at keeping up with 4k texture demands, but especially for fast paced games like Counterstrike: Global Offensive 144hz is an unbelievable difference. Everything is so much smoother. Plus the freesync makes everything seem that much smoother since it matches your monitor's refresh rate with the fps your video card is outputting, so you don't see hardly any screen tearing anymore. You can't go wrong with this monitor. Both me and my brother have one and we love it. Can't recommend this monitor enough for people that love playing counterstrike and battlefield. It is a TN panel however and the colors aren't the greatest. Not something I'm concerned with though.10/10

Variable Refresh Rate (Free Sync) is awesome
Been playing with this new Nixeus Vue 24" monitor for the past 24hours and I have to admit that Free Sync is quite impressive. This is my first rodeo using a variable refresh rate gaming monitor, with my previous monitor being just a normal 144hz monitor. I do notice that my Free Sync enabled monitor does not stutter or tearing of the screen during fast movement and high action parts of the game. Which I am assuming is the purpose of variable refresh rate technologies? I noticed that the colors on my new Nixeus screen appears to be more vivid even if I try and adjust my other monitor using similar configurations. No complaints here except with FFB is around the corner and combine that with playing MSG spells the demise of my sleep.

and overall presentation is fantastic. A lot brighter than my AMOLED
If you have a free sync capable rig, this monitor is the bee's knee...if a bee had a knee.Overall the bezel is freaking huge. For a single monitor set up it's not an issue at all. If you're going dual monitor you may wanna look into removing the bezel after-market.The refresh rate, angle of viewing, and overall presentation is fantastic. A lot brighter than my AMOLED, surpringly. If you're an AMD running person, then i highly suggest this monitor. I haven't had a need to jump to 1440p but if i do, i'll def. look at Nixeus's lineup.Mad satisfied by this, though i haven't run the monitor through a color gamut yet.

The perfect gaming monitor for AMD cards
If you are in the market for a 1080p, 144hz, freesync monitor, look no further. This monitor is the perfect size and specs for gaming. Even with the newest GPUs on the market (unless you crossfire 2 fury x's or something) you will not be able to hit 120fps on ultra settings on new AAA games, even at 1080p. Going to 1440p at 27in might seem like a good idea, but you wont get the FPS to take advantage of 144hz on newer games. Go with 24" 1080p and take advantage of much higher frame rates unless you absolutely NEED a big screen. Also, don't let the fact that this isn't an IPS panel scare you away. I switched from an IPS monitor to this and couldn't be happier.Pros:144 hz, 1ms response, 24", 1080p, freesync. The exact specs I was looking for. Only one other monitor on the market meets these specs as of time of writing. I have not tried the other one, but I recommend this Nixeus instead of gambling on the other (this monitor is very well reviewed all around).Amazing freesync range (30-144hz) - been playing the Overwatch beta recently. I cannot overstate how amazing this monitor is compared to any 60hz monitor for this game or really any FPS. No screen tearing or stuttering!! I don't think I could ever play this type of game on 60hz again.Colors look great after a simple 5 min calibrationNixeus support is greatHigh quality stand, comes with displayport cableCons:144hz and/or freesync doesn't make a huge difference in SOME games. Any game in first person or with quick camera movement will be much better at 144hz/freesync though.Freesync only works in fullscreen mode and not borderless window (not a fault of the monitor, but of the technology itself)Came with a green stuck pixel, but Nixeus support was great and RMA'd me a perfect panel when I called and complained. Great support!TLDR - If you are in the market for a monitor with these specs, stop looking! Buy this monitor. (but check newegg as it is possibly cheaper there).

Flawed but very good.
Flawed but very good.I bought the monitor "like new", and it was. The tape for styrofoam was still intact.I like the construction of the monitor. It doesn't feel cheap at all.The screen is good. Nice TN panel. 144hz is great. So isn't freesync. There were some dead pixels on the screen, and I wish it didn't have them, but they were well outside of my regular viewing area, so I can live with them. Loses one start for the dead pixels. I hope Nixeus continues to make Freesync 144hz monitors in this price range.

"I like it. " I like the product
As the four star says: "I like it."I like the product, yes. I do, unfortunately, have to refund because of a dead pixel in the very center of the screen, it's quite noticeable. I don't blame Nixeus for this though, QC isn't always perfect, and some bad things fall through the cracks. It also could have been caused by shipping, so I'm not putting the blame on anyone in particular. But the monitor is good overall, the 144Hz is nice, but that's with nearly every 144Hz monitor I would assume. The colors aren't the best, the image is quite warm. It's probably a deal-breaker for a lot of people, but I didn't mind it much. The colors in game or while watching videos seemed to be fine, but I did notice that white looks more like off-white. I love the stand of this monitor, I think it's great. The highest-quality monitor stand I've ever used. The monitor doesn't move at all when typing, or while playing intense games. There's a lot you can do with it as well. Height, portrait, tilt. It also has a hole in the center of the stand for you to route your cables. Nicely designed by Nixeus. If it wasn't for the dead pixel, I'd be extremely happy with this monitor, but I'm not going to allow that to impact my rating of the product. It's truly a fine monitor, but I unfortunately got a defective one (to a degree).

One dead pixel goes completely unnoticed
What the title says. Received the monitor with a single dead pixel, around 3 in. Down and left of center screen. Only notice it on occasion, to be honest. As gaming is my primary use, it is very hard to notice when things are moving. Same goes for video. Now to the product: - Great stand. Seriously, coming from a cheap monitor having a real stand is now an essential for me. - Has display port and HDMI. I use display port primarily, but it is nice to be able to leave my Raspberry Pi plugged in on HDMI when I need to work with it. - Refresh rate and response are amazing. It's a very noticeable difference, even when not pushing 144 frames/sec. Screen tearing is virtually nonexistent. I'm using a Gigabyte R9 280x as my primary GPU, and unfortunately I miss out on the FreeSync benefits, but it's still quite a difference.TL;DR if you have a cheap monitor, and need an upgrade, you won't be disappointed in the Vue. Go for it!
