I was suprised how well this shampoo works. It does ease an itchy, dry scalp but I find it makes my hair soft and shiny too. Lathers well and smells nice.

I have suffered with psoriasis since I was about 5 years old. I used to have it all over my body but as I got older, it mostly disappeared and just remained on my scalp. It comes out when I get stressed, and last year was a particularly stressful year, so my scalp has been really itchy to the point that I had made it bleed. Im very particular about shampoos as my hair is my best feature, so I hate using t-gel as I don't like the smell and it makes my hair flat and horrible. I looked up shampoos for itchy scalps on here and this shampoo came up. I was dubious at first but read the reviews and thought I'd give it a go. Well, what a great decision that was! My hair is soft and shiny yet thick and sits beautifully. My scalp is not itchy at all, and my psoriasis is much calmer, after just one wash!! I highly recommend this shampoo it's just brilliant! Will be my go to shampoo from now on for sure.

I bought this as the ingredients are much better for you than other classic brands of anti-dandruff/itchy scalp shampoos and the price is fantastic. I used this in place of my regular shampoo and I didn't notice any difference. However, I decided to use this alongside a few other scalp treatment methods and the combination has worked really really well. Method below:I washed my hair in the shower with this shampoo, using a scalp brush to gently massage the shampoo in (I probably did this for a few minutes whereas usually I would lather up and then rinse out straight away, I took a lot more time this time) and then rinsed it all out well, letting warm water run over my scalp for a few minutes before getting out and using Garnier gentle oat hypoallergenic hair mask on my scalp - I massaged this into my scalp straight after my shower and then also got the lengths of my hair and tied it up to leave it in for an hour. Then I rinsed out with very cold water over the bath and the dandruff on my scalp has significantly reduced, by about 95% I would say. So the only reason I've deducted a star is because using is alone didn't seem to do anything but using it a bit more purposefully as part of a scalp treatment worked wonders. I'll probably do this a couple times a month or when needed.

Since the menopause my scalp has been incredibly itchy and sore. I tried many different shampoos suitable for "menopause" hair but nothing helped.After reading positive reviews on this, I thought I'd try it. So glad I did. The itching stopped straight away and left my hair feeling clean and soft.

My scalp is always so dry and itchy no matter what shampoo I use so I tired this and it worked soothed my scalp and my hair was soft and light and made my blonde look nicer

Overall: ✩✩✩--The shampoo was fine on its own. You do not need to use a significant amount for it to work well. Upon initial use, the shampoo helped to relieve the itching in my scalp. However, over several weeks, I noticed that it reacted badly with Head and Shoulders.I am not quite sure why this is the case. But it has left my hair itching even worse for the coming weeks. I do not recommend that you use any other hair products when using this one. I am now having to go see the GP to see what it has done to my scalp.PackagingThe product arrived in a timely manner as expected from Amazon Prime. It was neatly packed and did not have any damage upon arrival.The productThe product is a 200 ml shampoo bottle, that is, a bottle that is just about the same size as the palm of your hand. It is a plastic bottle with a blue cap. It is durable and lasts for a weeks if you are conservative with your use of it.The smellThe product does not smell particularly nice. It has a strong medicinal smell, almost like the smell of hair dye. It is pungent, but when washed off from the hair, it does not leave an after-smell luckily.The latherThe product lathers well when in the shower. I have no complaints about the quality of the lather either. It is not too frothy like other shampoo brands, nor is it too dry to lather up like Lynx.Reaction with other hair productsThe product does not seem to like to be combined with Head and Shoulders and caused a nasty reaction to my scalp. It has left it itching for weeks which has not been particularly comfortable. It does not seem to reach with my Loreal Conditioner. I would recommend that you apply only a small amount to determine if it reacts with your own hair products.

I often get psoriasis on my scalp when stressed, it itches and flakes. Also been suffering some seasonal hair shedding (it sheds from Octoberthen starts to grow back in January, 3 years running now) so wanted to be kind to my skin. Im menopausal age too. Tried this not expecting much to be honest but I'm impressed. It's the only shampoo of its kind that doesn't dry out my hair or take the colour out of it. I use it 2 or 3 times a week, double wash and leave it on if I can for a minute or 2 before rinsing. My hair really looks and feels great, scalp soothed, flaking gone. Still have flare ups but not as bad. This has no real nasties in it (and far less than E45 shower gel according to Yuka app) so I'm using it as an intimate wash too with no reactions. Been using 3 months and will continue.
