Stanley Tylon Pocket Tape 3m/10ft Carded

Honestly, wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by a tape measure, but the STANLEY 0-30-686 really is a cracking bit of kit. It’s small enough to chuck in your pocket or drawer, but still feels solid and well-made. The measurements are really clear and easy to read, and the tape doesn’t do that annoying floppiness some cheaper ones do. It snaps back smoothly and the lock holds it in place properly when you need it to. Great for little jobs around the house – measuring up furniture, shelves, whatever you’ve got going on. Just a proper no-nonsense tool that does what it says on the tin. Would definitely buy again if I ever lose it (which I probably will!).

Great tape measure at a good price.

Good product - compact and robust tape measure - but the packaging is very difficult to remove from the clasp on the back of the tape - took me 10 minutes with a sharp pair of scissors. Really needs to be simplified.

Bought this for measuring paracord. Amazing quality and a great size will fit into pockets easily without being overly bulky. The tape tention and retractability are very good. Really impressed for the price. Definitely great value for money.

Perfect 1st Class product!

I have been using this for a few days now and it’s so light and small I just leave it in my pocket rather than leaving it somewhere and forgetting where I put it down . Ok it’s only 10ft but the vast majority of my use is within that size . For its size it’s just great

I'm always losing these so bought 2. Small ones like this are very useful when working on smaller projects. So, the tapes are very good but the mounting card is abysmal. Took ages to prise the tape off, constantly in fear of stabbing myself with knife or scissors. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Strong and reliable

I bought it for table top games, but I am suprised how often I grab it to use it for other things. Need to visualize how large 40 cm or 15 & 2/3 inches is? Just use it. Want to meassure something for whatever reason (how much space do I have to fit a couch? How wide is my current mat and how large would I want my replacement to be?) etc. etc. At this point I have this meassure tape with me at all times, just like a pocket knife, multitool and a lighter (I don't smoke). Simple tools that will always come in handy.

Great little tape measure to keep in your pocket when woodworking. I find 5-8m tapes too big and The 2m ones can be a little short.

Sono molto soddisfatto di questo metro avvolgibile da 3 metri. È un ottimo strumento per misurare, e si distingue subito per la sua praticità. L'aggancio integrato su un lato è incredibilmente comodo; permette di fissare il metro con facilità, lasciando le mani libere per segnare o tenere fermo l'oggetto da misurare. Ma il vero punto di forza, e ciò che me lo fa preferire nettamente ad altri modelli, è la chiarezza della scala graduata. A differenza di molti altri metri che indicano la decina di centimetri (es. 10, 20, 30) solo sull'unità (cioè sul "0" del decimetro), questo metro riporta la decina su ogni numero successivo. Per intenderci, dopo il 10 cm si legge chiaramente 11, 12, 13 e così via fino al 20, e poi di nuovo 21, 22, ecc. Questa caratteristica è fondamentale per evitare errori di lettura, specialmente quando si prendono misure al volo o in situazioni meno agevoli. I metri che omettono questa indicazione dettagliata possono facilmente indurre in errore, facendo confondere il 12 con il 2, o il 25 con il 5, se non si presta la massima attenzione. Con questo metro, invece, la misurazione è immediata e precisa, senza rischi di fraintendimenti. Lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi un metro avvolgibile affidabile, comodo da usare e, soprattutto, estremamente chiaro nella lettura. Un acquisto che vale la pena!
