THOMPSON & MORGAN Buddleia Tricolour Bush

Arrived healthy and well watered even in 36 degree temperatures. I was dreading opening the box expecting a wilted plant so was pleasantly surprised how well it was packed.

Beautiful plant so far. It’s only a foot or so high now and still too young to flower but I’m very happy with how strong and healthy it is. I was sceptical buying a plant online but it came well packaged and just in need of a drink. Few hours after it was planted with some water it perked right up. If I’m being honest, the first plant unfortunately died a week or so after I bought it. I want to stress that I’m not sure why it died, it could’ve been a defective plant or perhaps something I did it’s hard to say, but after seeking the sellers advice about what may have happened they sent me a replacement plant without quibbling over why the original plant had died. And like I said, the replacement is strong and growing fast - as you’d expect from a buddleja). I will be buying from them again and can’t recommend enough

I was worried when unpacking this plant as it seemed shriveled and to be quite distressed by its journey. With a lot of TLC it now seems to be growing in strength and I am hoping that it will be a good plant in years to come. Worth mentioning is that the plant arrived early on in lockdown and may well have been in transit for longer than normal. After a few moths settling in the Buddleia has grown and produced some flowers but all of these are white, have little scent and of little interest to the butterflies in the garden.

Arrived on time and well packaged. At first I wasn't sure about this plant as it was small, but I immediately potted it up and it has really taken off. Very healthy and very pleased. Expecting flowers by next year.....Happy Update, changed rating as this was bought as a centre piece for my garden. Now it is flowering it is not tricolour only purple. While it is a lovely plant and the butterflies love it I am disappointed as it is no longer an eye catching plant just another buddleia. Have to find a replacement...

Wanted one of these for a while and took advantage of the special offer price to get one. Was a bit worried that some of the reviews mentioned receiving dried up or dying plants that had been in transit too long, and thought mine was going the same way when I had a dispatch note on a Monday saying it was due for delivery on the Friday. Pleasantly surprised that it turned up on the Wednesday morning. Well packaged in a box with the pot and plant base wrapped in plastic to retain moisture, soil still damp and delivered carefully so it stayed upright and totally undamaged. Not even a speck of escaped soil. Looks a strong, healthy little plant with plenty of leaves and I’m sure it will do well once planted out. Hoping for a good measure of each colour. Very happy so far.

Excellent Quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only a week after I planted this little trio of bushes, I'm already having buds spouting (which you can see in my image). I have no doubt that it'll be glorious next year, but I think it might even give me a few blooms this year. Buddleia are a sturdy plant which can grow out of the sides of buildings, so I had no doubt they would survive their transit in the post and they seem no worse for wear because of it. Don't expect at this price for them to come with blooms or maybe not a little bit of leaf damage from the postal service, but they will improve the minute they're in the garden.

Mixed results on this one. The first plant I bought was my first experience of buying plants online and I was hugely impressed with the beautiful, healthy plant that arrived. In the few weeks since I planted it in the garden it has thrived beyond my expectations. I was so impressed I bought a second plant. Not so happy, this time. The plant which arrived this morning is wilting, half the size of the first plant, and looking very sickly. Half its leaves are brown or black. The difference between the two is remarkable. I’ve planted it and can only wait and see if it recovers, but very disappointing considering how good my first experience with this seller was.
