Organic Amaranth Flour

It takes getting used to
So I know amaranth is very healthy and great for the body. However it's one of those things where the taste takes time to get used to . I did try adding agave syrup and fruits but I still didn't enjoy its earthy taste. I guess it's not for me .

NASTY SALTY/SAVOURY BICARB TASTE
Immediately on receipt I tried this in a variety of gluten free low carb baking. It was horrendous in pasty; both savoury & sweet, it tasted like a lot of bicarb of soda had been added to the recipe. Awful in scones, too salty/savoury & very short texture. It was ok in bread if only 1oz was added as part of a 8oz flour recipe. I'm not sure if it tasted fizzy/salty because it had gone off (as milled flour can quickly mould). Just in case I threw the rest away but it just wasn't nice. It didn't add anything so wasn't worth the risk.
