The best safety razor I’ve bought
I’ve had a frustrating journey with safety razors. I bought terrible safety razors over the years.. Then I recently bought the merkhur open comb. I was very impressed. It is lightweight which makes it easier for me to shave. The open comb helps cut better than the closed comb. I’m surprised this safety razor isn’t more popular. It deserves to be.

Best budget starter razor!
Nice quality finish and QS Trading stock, dispatched by Amazon, delivered a factory sealed, original looking package, so all good there. Al in all a nice quality razor for a very decent price. I would chose Merkur over Muhle because of the better design and handling, but Muhle has a better finish. So try and see what brand you like, I find the Merkur handles are less slippery and their heads better suited to manoeuvre in tight corners, but Muhle plating is better, so let’s hope Merkur takes a hint and improves.

Merkur 25C DE razor, a cracking smooth shave.
A great razor from Merkur , I purchased this as my Parker 99R fell to bits.This is supposed to be an agressive open comb razor depending which reviews you read but having purchased a travel Merur razor 15 years ago (also open comb) I think this razor (25C DE) gives a far smoother shave and is less agressive than the Parker 99R and has only 3 parts that screw together well.A great razor that if looked after properly will last a lifetime.

Excellent razor!
So happy with this razor!The open comb makes it easy for the soap and shaved hairs to slide away from the blade, thus there is less clogging.The long handle assures a firm grip and adds to the style of this razor (which I find to be particularly good-looking).The texture of the handle also helps a good grip.A joy to use it every day!

Sturdy traditional razor (like my dad always used). Have been told it gives a good shave and so much quicker than modern plastic razors.Tried getting a cheaper Chinese made model first which broke before it was even used - save time and pay out for a quality product.
