Café Olé Everyday Glass Teapot, Tea Maker, 710ml, Serves 3-4, Black

Lovely pot. Good price. Bit fragile. This is my second one due to clumsy son.

Things to like: * I can take the basket out once the tea brewed, so it doesn't stew. * It looks cute. * By undoing one little screw, I can dismantle for a thorough wash in the dishwasher. Things to improve: * You actually have to dismantle it for dishwashing, otherwise gunk gets trapped between the glass bowl and the housing. * Taking the basket out is a bit fiddly when the tea is still hot. But honestly, still worth 5 stars.

Decent teapot that holds a good 2 large mug fulls. However, despite having a 2 year warranty the strainer fell apart after 10 months. Thus was originally bought and sold by Amazon but the same item is still available but sold by a 3rd party via Amazon. Therefore Amazon were not willing to replace this but did, after a lot of hastle, agree to a refund. A replacement however now costs over 60% more. So, as they say, buyer beware. In conclusion, this item is not worthy of a 2 year warranty as clearly the materials used are not fit for purpose.

This teapot is brilliant!!! I’ve only had a positive results from my teapot. I don’t think it’s flimsy as some others have said, I think it’s sturdy and easy to use and clean after use. I drink a lot of herbal loose leaf tea and fill this teapot up many times a day. The tea strainer sits inside the pot well and infuses the hot water brilliantly. I’m even thinking of getting another one of these teapots to use at the same time so I don’t have to keep refilling just one. Handy tip, I usually put a tea cosy over the pot on these cooler mornings and this helps to keep the tea hot for ages. Five stars from me :)

This is a lovely little tea pot, it’s the second that we have purchased and unfortunately it’s the second one to have cracked, this was warmed before making the tea. Very disappointed

I bought it to make my daily green tea in, I have a couple of cups a day. so not really a heavy workload for a little pot like this. Item looked used, the glass was discoloured so I figured, ok, I will just give it a good wash. I also had to take off the handle and reseat the bowl into the plastic holder, as it was not in straight, it was over to the right by a considerable margin. The plastic holder has some scratches on it too. Removing the bowl showed, even more, staining on the glass itself, there was a line of discolouration where the holder meets the glass, of course, all washed off ok, but as this was supposed to be new, not really something one should need to do or expect and the whole thing looked grubby and I say, I am pretty sure it was a return/used item. The tea holder, well, flimsy would be overstating it, but it works. However, mine is already coming apart at the bottom so that about says it really. Also, it could do with a little handle or something to help pull it out, as I pull out the holder whilst the tea is still hot to keep my leaves for the next boil later on. Overall, unimpressed, it may be cheap, but it is utter rubbish, and if I could be bothered, I would just send it back, I will not be recommending this item to anyone, nor will I purchase anything from the vendor again. I am already looking for a replacement and will spend a bit more time and money getting something more suitable and better quality.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this at first due to the many reviews talking of the glass shattering due to temperature. I am glad I did not heed those reviews. I do not doubt the glass could be shattered easily. It is only toughened and is not Pyrex. A quick temperature change may indeed shatter it, but so far, I have not had any problems. This, no doubt does need to be treated with care, as you would any glass product. Tip: treat it as you would a teapot made of pottery. Warm it with a little warm water before adding your tea to the basket and the hot water. This will warm the glass making sure there is less of a temperature change. It is what I do out of habit of having used teapots in the past. The pot itself is a perfect size for one to two people, filling two normal size mugs with one pot, and the infuser is simple yet effective. I have been using it daily for my Lapsang Souchong tea leaves. It keeps the tea reasonably warm, but do not expect it to keep your tea hot, that would be my only complaint about it. The spout is perfect for pouring, not a drop wasted. All in all, a good infuser teapot for its money. I look forward to many more tasty teas brewed within it.

EXCELLENT On arrival it looked too small, but easily holds over a pint, enough for two cups. Spout is position well, and keeps any loose tea leaves inside the pot rather than cup.

Cheap and flimsy would not recommend plastic all scratches

Great teapot for one person. If you want one for a large cup or more people get the bigger size. Ideal for dishwasher

Met dit theepotje maak ik minimaal twee keer per dag m'n favoriete thee. Het ziet er uit als een klein theepotje, maar er gaat dus meer dan een liter in. Op die manier kom ik ruimschoots aan m'n 2 liter water per dag. Enige minpuntje is dat je heel rustig moet inschenken omdat 'ie anders meteen lekt. Maar goed, dat helpt dan weer mooi met het onthaasten :)
