The media could not be loaded. Having done YouTube videos for several years now, I've always tried getting into vlogs. Generally, it isn't my preferred type of video, but over the last couple of years I've got into them more and more. However, I normally do vlogs on my DSLR so I knew trying it on a smartphone would be a little challenging in terms of the audio quality. Below I have added some pros and cons as well.Pros-No batteries needed-Super lightweight-Muffle included-Excellent valueCons-Muffle is easy to tearLuckily, I found this mic which was both small and cheap. After reading all the reviews I was sceptical on getting it, as it just didn't seem that great, However, after taking the risk and using it fully I can easily say it was worth every penny. I was very easy to setup and had no problems with it. I used the device with the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, so it should also work with any other smartphone. No additional software or hardware is required, just a device with an audio jack. The only disadvantage I can think of is that it isn’t waterproof and could vulnerable to damage as it’s so light.Overall this is an excellent product and I'd highly recommend it. Sure, it doesn't give incredible audio, but it makes an enormous difference. Especially if you're in a noisy environment like a city.

Seems to improve sound capture by 20% or so (in a domestic room I reckon it sounds less tinny than when using the on board mic on my iPhone 5). So not sensational - but for a modest price it gives a decent boost, and is so neat & simple.

Okay, despite my poor review, I blame myself.I only wanted to record a few tracks of my our band playing in a town pub but the moment the band played, (a four piece drums, bass & guitar) everything was distorted. There is no sound distinction or definition at all, just a mess.... It’s my fault for expecting it to do something which I didn’t believe it would do in the first place.Please tell me what I’ve been doing wrong?

This microphone is alright, does the job for the price. Downside is the seller states this is compatible for an iPhone 7 which it isn't.... you can not plug this directly into an iPhone 7. You need to use the iPhone adapter to be able to actually plug it into your phone to start with which makes it hang etc.

This is a great little mic for shooting better quality video with your mobile, or your camera if it has a mic jack.Makes for a more directional sound, better than the phone mic, and is a very small and neat design, well made too. For the price, there's nothing to complain about, so it's basically essential kit for a vlogger, or mo-jo videomaker.

Very nicew product , arrived quite soon after was ordered. It works on my samsung S7edge with voice recorder . The quality is accepted for voice ,with some midlle range frequencies higher that it should be but again I find it valju for money.
