DTOL Micro USB Cable for Kindle 2 Sync & Charge (White)

Bought this after accidentally crushing my original kindle wire. Cable seems reasonably well made, though when using as a data connection to PC I sometimes have to wiggle it a bit to get the kindle to connect.Appears to charge the kindle with no problems, I also use this to charge my Samsung Galaxy Ace and it works fine however when trying to charge my Nexus 7 it charges extremely slowly (the nexus does this with most chargers, but the kindle original wire worked fine with it and was also a USB 2.0).Product also seems to be a fair bit longer than the 105cm in the product description, more like 180cm which is an unexpected bonus (though it can tangle easily).Overall for the price a reasonable buy that does most of the things I was hoping for.

On using it for the first time the connection going into the kindle fell apart in two pieces. Had to purchase some super glue to join the two halves of the connection together again. Because it was cheap I did not bother to return the item, it was easier to just repair it myself. Seems to be fine now and is recharging my kindle ok. It would have received a higher rating but for the day repair.

Does what it says. It's thicker than the lead that ships with the Kindle and shorter, though plenty long enough, and less prone to damage. I took my Kindle Touch lead into hospital recently as it fits both my Kindle and my HTC Phone and I shared it with another patient who had a Blackberry as he'd forgotten to bring his charger with him. When I got home and tried to use it it didn't work unless I wiggled it and kept it in one position. I had to wrap insulating tape around the mini connector of my first Kindle's lead because I could see it beginning to break where it joined the lead. No problems like that with this lead. It is less flexible than the original lead but far stronger.

I don't understand these negative product reviews at all!-It arrived before the estimated delivery (which was for a while into the future- so relieved as I'm impatient!) Was packaged fine..-Looks just like an iPod cable. Can't find any fault in the cable itself!-And it works! Which is the main thing!Got no problem with it at all. Absolute bargain for the price as Amazon's own Kindle leads are £10!-My original cable was used accidentally to charge a phone which basically killed it, so I'm really pleased that I managed to get such a cheap replacement!Recommended!

Buyer beware! Does NOT work with older (Mark 1 with the keyboard) Kindle E-books (have tried with 3 different ones and does not work on any of them!). Causes a 'feedback' loop where the Kindle constantly tries to sync with the PC's USB. It DOES work on newer Kindles and Kindle fires though, hence the 3 stars rather than one.... This needs stating in the ads though....

Cable was shorter than I needed, the one issued with my kindle was very long and ideal for all situations.

I purchased this cable specifically because it was compatible with the Kindle. I thought it was a bit slow to arrive, until I realised it came from The States.The first thing I noticed was that the connector did not fit the Kindle. The second thing I noticed was that the 'business end' appeared to be a kindle-like connector jammed into a very visible female connector. It looks a real botch.The supplier kindly offered to refund my payment. They even suggested it was not necessary to return the cable when I mentioned it was not worth the cost of posting it back. I did not bother to take the issue further, preferring to write it off to experience. Shame, though. Great service, let down by a poor product.

My original cable went missing so this is a replacement. It does what I want it to: Transfer data and connect Kindle to laptop for recharging.
