Yale Keyless Non-Connected Door Lock with Y3 Chrome Nightlatch

It's a great looking lock once fitted and it feels very solid and secure. I found that unfortunately this was not a drop-in replacement for my old Yale keylock as I'd first hoped as the barrel hole was not in the correct position. A bit of carpentry was required and my only recommendation is that you fit the door frame catch last so that you get it to all line up nicely! It took me about an hour and a half, and two cups of tea to fit; but it's a very rewarding result at the end. If you are fitting this to a new door then you will need a 32mm hole cutter and a 15mm wood bit plus a a nice sharp chisel for a little bit of rebating. If you are not an intermediate DIY'er with some carpentry experience then this is probably best left to an expert!Key points (pardon the pun):You can program in two codes maximum and you have the option to have audio feedback (bleeps) on or not.If an incorrect code is entered more than 5 times it locks you out for 3 minutes.If you are being overlooked then you can enter several random numbers first but as long as the last string of numbers you use are the correct ones it will open when you push the star button!If the batteries go flat you can use a 9V battery on the outside to power it to allow you to get in.It seems Yale have thought of everything.

Fantastic product, does a great job securing doors. No need for keys anymore thanks to this product. Great back up feature in case the battery dies. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs added security.

This product has worked well for two years, and I highly recommend the principle of the device (I have now bought and installed three). One touch screen has now failed, it is completely unresponsive so that the door cannot be opened from the outside. This risk is that if there is no other mode of entry you are now locked out!

after thoughtfull consideration we bought this lock.It works perfectly easy to handle and very sturdyit is a strange idea to leave your house with no frontdoor keys. the yale lock uses just 4 aa batteries and works for 10000 lock turns. the pad itself is ip 54 so good enough for the frontdoor.update:After a cold morning -2C the lock does not respond to the keypad (batteries are ok)You have to touch the keypad twice for it to workIt does still work ,however I wonder what will happen when the temperatures reaches -10CJust have to wait and see.Only to be used if the temperature is above zero!!!

Since it is almost same price with the connected version, u should just buy CONNECTED ver. this is just a digital lock you might as well buy a manual non battery number keypad lock 😱😂 i would have return it if i havent rip the box off. Guess I have to live with it. The smart alarm is very good and connected easily, the lock can be added into smart system but u have to choose the correct version.

Basically, it is a good door lock. It is quite large and conspicuous and could tempt juniors to play with it, so perhaps would be better in brushed finish?.being fairly wide, make sure you have the room on the door pillar to take it.It comes with a Yale Y3 chrome nightlatch for the back of the for - but this has a 60mm backset which dictates the exact position of the front lock on the door, AND while you can buy a different grey back nightlatch with a 40mm backset, this digital lock does not work with all existing back inghtlstches, especially those which gave a deadlock facility. Annoyingly, it does not mention this on any of the advertising and sales literature, nor on the box, so BEWARE!.This lick is basically a very good product , but confusingly marketed and with some limitations as to compatibility with all existing ly fitted back locks.

Have had this for a couple of months now. It works 100% every time, is solidly built and looks extremely stylish. Get one of these and house keys become a thing of the past. Was £30 cheaper than Maplin too!
