The sound died on my 2011 macbookpro (the red digital out light won't switch off). Instead of paying £400+ for a new logic board I bought one of these speakers to take the audio out via USB. Sound quality is fine and the drivers work with Yosemite 10.10.2. I had to roll back to Yosemite because the osx USB drivers are broken in el capitan.

I have been using a similar sort of speaker unit to boost the sound of my laptop, but unfortunately the clip broke so it would not attach to the laptop. I subsequently ordered this unit, which arrived promptly. Firstly the clip to attach it to the laptop is flimsy plastic, no spring clip, and does not work well. The sound however is poorer than the laptop's in built speakers, which says it all. It is so quiet and "tinny" that it renders itself completely useless. I sent it straight back.

Nice compact, stylish shape, the plastic clip to clip it onto a tablet/laptop, looks quite flimsy, but it hasn't broken yet. It works well clipped on the top edge of my laptop than it doez clipped to a side, but it comes with a flexible end stand, so you can stand it on it's end on a desk. The stero sound quality is a good, a lot better than the tinny sound that comes out of my built in laptop speakers, but probably not the best sound you can get, but for the price very good.

This inexpensive sound bar performs much better than I was expecting for this price. Sound quality is a little thin for music, but everything else is fine.

I bought this to eliminate some desk clutter on the move and increase the volume I was getting from the lap top speakers. On this level it offers a solution. You can increase the volume on your laptops volume control. That is where the positives end. I bought the speaker mainly to listen to voice radio and it is okay for this but the sound is very tinny. Don't buy this if you want to listen to music, you will be very disappointed.

This was purchased to attach to my acepc ak1. plugged in usb, worked straight away. good volume and listening to classical guitar, a lovely crisp clear sound. Very pleased.

I bought this because I wanted a louder speaker than my laptop's internal one but this thing is really no use. The sound is pretty low so if you want it for music or even movie playback then it is pointless. it also has a clip to attach it to the top of the screen but it doesn't fit tightly around the speaker and keeps coming loose so all in all I am totally disappointed with this product. Save your money and buy something else.
