Well we got it after years of a "fast boil" kettle that was very noisy and we think this one is quiet in comparison! It certainly isn't intrusive and doesn't interfere with other things going on in the room, such as listening to the radio or other people's conversation. We don't need to shout over it! On the whole we are very happy with it and it looks very smart as well.

Q: Is this colour cream or canvas white? Thank you.

It is cream. Looks lovely but the kettle developed a leak after 14 months but as it is only guaranteed for a year nobody was interested so we had to buy something else.

Q: Why is there so much water coming out every time I boil water?

I can't help you as the one I bought we returned immediately on the grounds of it not being a safe product: each time we needed to lift the lid we burned ourselves because the lid was really hard to pull up. We replaced it with a make (like almost every other) which has a tap-touch mechanism to fill.

Q: Are there any replaceable bits if they stop working? For example the heating element.

I don't think so as the heating element is concealed. Despite the high price, this is a very practical kitchen gadget that you will find serve you well on daily basis.
